Thank you all. How encouraging. I was giving up on Gather because I couldn't get feedback on my photos. and now after a year, I get all of these emails. Maybe I will stick around.

Did you know that there were actually 2 triangles during NAZI times? A pink one for Gays and a black one for Lesbians.

I walk the fence on this one.

First off, I can't get a flu shot because I always get sick (I mean REALLY sick) after getting one. So they are not for me. HOWEVER, if I get sick, I stay inside and don't spread it to others, which is rarely because I take immune boosters and stay away from others who appear to be sick and I wash my hands constantly.

Second, I think people who feel like they are coming down with something should not spread it by going to school/work, etc. These are the ones that should be ordered to get the shot.

If one should get sick, they should think of others that may catch it from them. Someone may catch it who may DIE.

This was during the Korea war, The Chosen Resevior. The salvation Army was giving soup and coffee out to the troops, but the Red Cross was charging them for Coca Cola that was donated by the Coca Cola company for the troops. I don't know what they charged for donuts.

I never heard of ACORN until I saw something about it on the news as I was flipping through.
I do wish someone would expose the RED CROSS. I warn people about them. They charged our troops back during the Korea war for sodas that were DONATED. My Dad paid a dollar and this was back in the 50s. Also a friend of mine was living in disaster after an earthquake. Red cross promised to help out. I warned them in front of the Red Cross and they swore up & down that they NEVER charge for thier services. One year later my friend received a bill for 7 thousand dollars (one week of breakfast & dinner was all they did). When he refused to pay it, they ruined his credit.
Of course if you are a foreigner you don't have to worry, they will pay for everything.

I know, but when I was told this story it reminded me of the Left Behind series and I thought 'These people will believe anything' It was just a movie. I am Christian but this is going to far.

The right winged conservatives believe that Obama is the Anti-Christ. This I heard from a "friend" that goes to a conservative Church. The "pastor" told the "congrgation" NOT to vote for Obama because he was the Anti-Christ. Funny, I always thought the Anti-Christ would be a right winged conservative Republican.

For those of you who believe that reform is bad, IT IS BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT THE INSURANCE COMPANIES WANT YOU TO THINK. Why? Because they want to be able to cancel you if you get sick without the government coming in and saying "you can't deny care to the sick"

They don't really want out. They have it made, they get specail previlages that other prisoners don't, 3 squares a day, a roof over there heads, free gym membership, medical and dental and they are around like minded people. If they get released they have a target on thier back and no means of support. THANKS TO OUR TAX DOLLARS, we can't feed our kids and seniors but we have to feed the ones that kill our kids and rob our seniors.

Cats are also independant, you don't have to walk them, if you leave enough dry food down for a week they won't scarf it up in one day (like STUPID dogs). Cats bury their s&^t, dogs leave it in the neighbors yard to be stepped on. Dogs are the evil ones. they demand more attention and are more time consuming besides loud & waking up the neighborhood.

So what if my cat has me trained, I have more freedom than a dog owner.

You work 2 jobs and pay all of the bills and have no place else to go and she has offerred to go to her moms? Kick her butt out. Stop being her 'victim' . I have read your stories and know that you have a heart, you have also worked hard. Do it for yourself and no one else. Once you learn to love yourself then people will notice and someone specail will come into your life. If it were me, I would think long and hard about letting that person back into my life because eventually it will happen again. I have been there

& when I learned to live on my own and love myself, my partner of fifteen years came into my life. Just have patience.

I know 3 people with AIDS. They watch what they eat, they take thier meds, but also they study holistic health. One friend has had this for 20 years and a few times the doctor said it was 'undetectable'. They are "healthy" now but know the limits. Look at Magic Johnson. Dont be negative around your friend, be a possitive energy in his life, it will help.
