Hmmm, Dorine, what can we do about pandan leaves? There is a substitution here called 'suji' leaves, but frankly speaking I don't know what it is in English.... hehehe.... or maybe you can find substitute there in the US. This leaves have to be good for cooking (meaning safe) and coloring food too.

Madame Donna, thanks for stopping by. Yes, we love it in Bandung. Just try to use the 'kencur' a little if you are not sure. We are used to 'kencur' here, but maybe not in the US.

Dorine, you were right, we use the long thin eggplants but we also can use the round ones. As long as you cut it small, it will be good in the salad.

I haven't seen the magazine, but I think it is not appropriate to use these poor people for these very expensive designers products! They can not afford even to buy the handle of the Burberry's umbrella! If they said that the models can not buy designers' product as well, that is different story, they are paid everyday to model for them, right?

Hi Dorine, thanks, I knew you would love to try Bandung cuisines! I love them all! When I go to visit my parents in Bandung, I always plan to eat this and that and this and that. In the end, I could not eat them all of course and had to be satisfied with a few of them only!
