Heart rending. I see it daily with my partner--parting of ways with mind and body. It is more a feeling of panic and helplessness.
Wonderful story so well told.

Donkeys have the laughably long ears and are often a bit fuzzy at the top of the head. Donkey tails are thin and not flowing hair from a top point. Quite often they are smaller in stature. Mule ears are only slightly larger than those of their horse mother.

I so enjoyed my (your) trip to the Greek island this morning. I suspect from the tail and size of ears that those may be mules rather than donkeys but it doesn't matter--still quite picturesque and delightful. Do you use power point to publish that photo essay? I want to do something like that with our recent trip to Belize.

How nice of you to comment on our Miss Habanero, aka THE baby. Her parents were adopted through the BLM and grace our farm in West Texas..
I would like to view your donkey photos. Are you familiar with Barbara Mielke, in Santa Fe, who paints fabulous donkeys in amazing colors?
