I agree, I do need them. And I will use them to save the unborn. Ironically, I don't believe abortion is a religious issue at all. People have assumed it is because the Catholic Church is one of the few organizations that take an unwavering stance on the unborn. But like any injustice, it is an issue for humanity as our future depends on caring about all lives born and unborn.

Thanks for the info about breastfeeding, Aniko. It certainly warrants further study. And no, "fool" and "clown" do not qualify as half-baked.

Now you are throwing numbers around! Most people do not think that Roe v Wade was decided correctly depending on which source you are using. The last Gallup poll said 51% of the country considered themselves pro-life.

I don't consider the Morning after pill an abortifacient. It is an abortifacient. Abortion is almost never the only answer. In modern medicine it is almost always healthier for the mother to have her baby taken alive than aborted no matter what the life threatening complication is.

As far as "emotional" abortions such as rape or incest, I still oppose taking the life of an innocent child. Yes it is devastating and potentially psychologically damaging to the mother, but it is still deadly to the child and this should not be condoned. The mother is a victim in these cases, but that should not allow the child to be a victim as well.

I am certainly for fighting anything that will reduce abortions other than contraception methods that are in fact abortifacients.

As far as the numbers go, depending on the source, there are always discrepancies. I had taken a number off of wikepedia. I don't question Svetlana's number but most numbers on abortion are manipulated to support whatever side the argument is on. I am in no way trying to use incorrect data as you allude to. My point was just that numbers of that magnitude are insane.

I do appreciate all of those atrocities you refer to. My grandparents were all from Russia and I do understand something. But when you look at the sheer numbers, it is abortion where the most lives could be saved and where I find most of my energy spent. I can't wait for the day I can move on to these other issues!

From my perspective 1% would be an abomination. 54.8% is akin to slaughter. I don't know where the blinders were sold but they must have been on deep discount for so many otherwise rational people to be wearing them!

I hope that you are also proud that about 70 percent of Russian pregnancies still end in abortion, and more than three in four Russian women who have ever been pregnant have had an abortion.

Just for historical note the first countries to allow abortions were the Soviet Union in 1919 and Nazi Germany in 1935. It wasn't until the 60's until this became more widespread.

Barbaric and insulting!

You are the one stuck in the middle ages. Science had proven in the 19th century that life begins at conception and the world accepted this and abortion was outlawed worldwide. It was only greed and self interest that changed this. The science never changed!

All modern, industrialized countries allow poverty and malnourished children to die without aid. The bottom line is a few people who believed in genocide (Margaret Sanger) and natural selection fooled the world into mass murder in the name of women's rights!

Laughable! Everything you state applies perfectly to the pro-abortion movement. Legal or not, abortion is morally apprehensible and tramples on the rights of the unborn. At one time slavery was legal, segeregation was legal. Laws change and mistakes are made. What side do you think the Taliban would be on? Wake up and smell the coffee!

Another interesting note is that when Dr. Tiller was killed every pro-life organization came out and denounced the murder immediateley.

Have NARAL or Planned Parenthood made any comments on Pouillon's killing?

Yes, Fox News is on it (it is on their website) and I expect they will have a lot to say about it tonight. Fox is the closest thing to balanced reporting we have left.

Is a woman who is provocatively dressed bound to attract someone who will commit a violent act against them? The whole point of our rights and freedom is that we can express ourselves as we choose. This in no way gives anyone the right to make us a victim. Although you may not condone the violence you are implying he in some way attracted it by his actions and is in some way asking for it.
