As to the use of Twitter. First, it is very easy to use, but the question is, "What do I want to use it for?" As for me, I post notices of my papers being published, but little else. In other words, it can be used for professional reasons or personal. I find younger people use it for nonsensical topics, such as to flirt or to pass notes in school. Other than
posting professional notices and following the works of some key people I know, I have little use for the facility. It's a fad.
