Thanks for your comments. Just remember, the obvious isn't always obvious.

As to the use of Twitter. First, it is very easy to use, but the question is, "What do I want to use it for?" As for me, I post notices of my papers being published, but little else. In other words, it can be used for professional reasons or personal. I find younger people use it for nonsensical topics, such as to flirt or to pass notes in school. Other than
posting professional notices and following the works of some key people I know, I have little use for the facility. It's a fad.

Friends - I want to thank you all for participating in this experiment that proved the point of the vilification of conservatives. From the liberal spin in these comments, it is obvious they believe nobody is entitled to an opinion unless it follows liberal doctrine.

Some of the comments were so nasty and obscene that I just had to delete them. Then they became so bizarre that I had to shut down the comments altogether.

The one thing I did pick up from the comments is the stereotype that conservatives are obsessively hateful people. I found this most interesting, particularly since they did none of the name calling in the comments.

Again, I sincerely thank all of you for your participation, both pro and con.

Dorian - As you can see from the postings here, I allow all viewpoints, both proponents of my writings and divergent opinions, but I will not tolerate name calling. You should go elsewhere for that type of conduct.

Dan - Thanks for your comments, but I'm afraid he hasn't gone away and continues to monitor this post. As I mentioned in my article, liberals cry foul when conservatives voice any objection.

Systems Methodologies are my business which is why I couldn't stand it anymore and had to say something. All of this could be accomplished using a little common sense, but as you know that is not very common in Washington.

Interestingly, I had one reader try to defend the clerks claiming they were intimidated by management and were not allowed to improvise. I replied that regardless if it was a dullard clerk or a stifling system, or both, it was still lousy customer service. Thick is thick.

Monica, thanks for weighing in on this. Yea, I don't know how Pelosi stays in office. I guess they're different in San Francisco.

I had one gentleman suggest the best way to get of incumbents is to simply eliminate their pensions. Not a bad idea if you ask me.

The results of the survey suggest the country is frustrated with what is going on (at all levels). I don't think I have ever seen it this low before. The people have only themselves to blame in the sense they have become apathetic over the years and do not challenge the electoral process. As I said in another column, I wish all of our government officials had a "Report Card" on their activities.
