I hit the 'WE' part a little different than John. For me, it brought me into the poem, reminding me of some of my own drowning moments where I went too far or gave up to soon. This offering is more symbolic than literal at least through my first reading and as I said, conjures up some personal images. If, however, your goal was to place me on the same page with your inner emotions, your inner dreads so to speak, then I do concur with John that a little more clarification would be in order.

But, I will assume you want ME to take the journey, which I have and on that merit, a very intense, yet foreboding read have I found. Bravo.

WOW, first I guess thanks are due to Nancy for the inspiration.
Secondly, I am always in awe how you manage to write an entire novel into each poem.
You, my friend, have achieved a Signature style.

PECAN PIE is my favorite, my utmost, my unero numeros, dessert. I even think that's why I stayed in the south all them years. But I've never heard of a pecan pie coming out of an Indiana oven. LOL

I use YouTube to find songs I haven't heard in eons. Like, Crimson & Clover....

Korak, I meant to tell you that your comment means so much to me. You have honored me by taking the time it took you to write it, to think about it. Regardless of what's behind you and /or what's ahead of you; inside, where it counts, you are a very good man. And if I can notice that; you can bet your bottom dollar, God notices.

You are too much Ku and I was sooo tired, just woke up. Delivering 55 mobile turkeys with all the trimmings wears a soul out.

But the three Ukrainian girls and I met a family from the Sudan, and a family from Egypt and still more from parts unknown. We prayed with people who cherished God simply for life and not material things because they have no material things.

Brother, you should have come along, there would have been turkey legs for you as well.

Your company, as well as your writings above would have been grand and most welcomed.
