Life gets better and better as I get older, and I'm not afraid of growing old. If I had to pick an age... I'd pick my current age! I'm happier than I've ever been!

I'm with you here... however, there was a time in my life where I was so desperate for acceptance that I would do anything to get it, including keeping my mouth shut when I knew I should've spoken up. I've changed a LOT since those days! Good thoughts here!

Anything by Ace of Base is HORRIBLE. And Hootie & The Blowfish. Talk about a MONOTONE singer.

It was exciting because we've never had that experience before. I realize that people who live in LA probably could care less, because you see them all the time. But for someone who's never met any kind of celebrity, it was pretty exciting.

It was fun! We had gone almost 4 years without any sort of vacation together, and we've been through a LOT since then... so it was really much needed.

Hi Zel... thanks for the suggestions. We ended up hitting 4 bead shops! I was happy ;-) I was shocked, we didn't hit as much traffic as I feared. Since I got the nav system for Chrimstmas... it really helped a LOT... it gave alternate routes whenever possible. Great investment there... and Monday morning we were driving into LA with the rest of the state, and it took us only 1 1/2 hours. I was shocked!! We were actually early, for once in our lives!

Hi Sue, we didn't have time to make it all the way up to San Francisco... I've been there many times, and it's just... fabulous!!! I want to go back there someday!

Riverside is about 45 minutes to the closest beach, but since you're the third person recommending Venice Beach...... I think I'll be dragging hubby there!
