I know this is a really old post, but came across it looking up feeling other people's physical pain. My daughter got braces today and I literally feel her mouth pain! It's absolutely bizarre. My gums, teeth, whole mouth....not as powerful as she's feeling it or I remember feeling it when I was young and had braces of my own but enough to be shocked. Very wierd! She is my oldest daughter, and she's 10 and the person in my life I am the closest to.

Apri is Sexual Assault Awareness Month too....Thank you so much for posting the article. I have just started a course in Domestic Violence And Sexual Assault Crisis Intervention Counseling....I hope to take what I've endured and put it to good use. I am greatful, as a victim of all of the above, to posts like these too. Spread the word!

All abuse is abuse, very true. I have endured every form myself throughtout my life....it's the view that it is not all equally as destructive that causes people to hold back and not speak out because they think their abuse isn't "enough" to seek help for.

Thank you everyone :) I think I wrote this as part of a final for Domestic Violence and Sexual Assult Intervention Crisis Counseling Course I took in 2000, they asked to write a collection of poetry from all different points of views of abuse...this was from child view. It was VERY difficult to write from the abuser's point of view since I've never been there, but I wish I could find THAT one....

Yea, now that you mention it, I think I veguely remember hearing about something like that. I have been on and off meds for 11 years, so many I literally cannot count anymore. In and out of psyche hospitals, last year ending up in a coma for 16 hours. Luckily, for some reason, when I am pregnant and off all meds I do MUCH better...not perfect but better. I have often wondered (and so has my family) if it's more hormonal imbalance...but like you said dr's never suggest things like that cause then how would they make $$ with their psyche meds and what not? Shitty that they work that way. I have gone through 30 sessions of electroconvulsive therapy as well, to the point that my memory between that and the coma is so screwed up I cant remember conversations I had yesterday or places Ive been to repeatedly, or people I have meta few times, etc I even got lost coming home one day. Someday..........sigh

Wow I really like it :) Kept me reading..usually I don't read much I get bored too easily lol but this had great imagery, if that's the right word...very good descriptive words that helped my imagination picture the scenes...thanks for asking me to read it :)

Poor little thing...I can't believe she was laughing at you, that's kind of rude, you didnt know where else to call, I'd have been pissed lol although Im super sensative about things. You kick ass though to go through all that for the chicken :)

Because of my severe depression I have struggled with on and off since I was 14 custody was changed when my oldest daughter was very small and I wasn't able to see her. Luckily it was short lived because I would do absolutely anything for my children, and she has been here with me for years :) And thank you for the comments
