I don't understand why people like to defend the actions of those that just wants to take away from YOU and your Family? It amazes me from both sides. The populous should stick together, and not with = A ROGUE SPENDING GOVERNMENT

Government SUCKS, especially when they're as corrupt as the current crop of tyrrants. Everyone of'em should be voted out of office, from both disgusting, contemptuous, parties.

The historicity of events should represent a comprehensive view of the story's reality, like places and things, ect, and it depends if the story is Historical fiction or fiction alone?

Define "voice" and what makes it? The intimate expression of man flesh and bone.

Who's got it? Everybody, it's just some are better than most.

Who needs it? The reader, the story, and the writer all need it together, like a triangle.

How do you get it? I agree with Judi, that it's innate, however I think it just needs a little coaxing for those that appear voiceless.

I am always positive about my work, there's just no other way. Although, I have my doubts, mostly about the market. Wish I could write more, think I got the Flu or a terrible cold???

First off, I start with an idea, and then write to that end, whether it be in a bedroom, a bar, a mountain, or a spiral galaxy. technical language and a little research can go a long way, especially if you're creating alien civilizations, or any fantasy civilization, Dale.

For conjuror, I used the Catalogue of the Universe for names and places beyond earth's ideas that were obviously scientific in origin, worked well to capture the scene. Traveling to the Tarantula Nebula sounds like great fun, dangerous fun, all on its own, I think.

Rant:

Today I was at the Music store; Guitar Center, and met a couple of novice guitarists, who said they didn't play that much, if at all, and sort of went on how they were big music lovers, ect. I nodded my and head and said I played professionally for years, jammed out couple of licks, no big deal. Meanwhile the socalled non musician cranked out a few licks of his own, still sticking to the fact he wasn't a pro musician. I had to laugh, and went away feeling a bit duped, but it got me thinking.

I bet writers do the same thing; say they're not writers, and really are, yet when you read their work it's almost perfect, and the sublties of practice and voice suggest something far from the contrary, suggest they are writers. I think people resort to this tactic so that if their work sucks, they have an excuse for it, and if it's good, the unsuspecting witnesses are amazed.
