If you had something you'd written, taken and posted by someone else without credit, you would be upset, and if you wrote for a living, you'd be even more upset. It's only fair to credit what you write with correct author, regardless of how important the information might be that you are trying to disseminate. It's like saying anyone can borrow your lawnmower and then it's broken when you need to cut your grass. It's fairness. You can write your own column about the news without using someone else's opinion. Try it.

Strong beginning. I have a little trouble with the 4 year old being able to describe the accident, understanding the pigs' door latch, etc. Premise of disfigured boy is interesting, should hook readers. Nicely done.

Windmill energy accumulates to cover the periods when there is no wind. It's been used in Europe for a decade. USA needs to get with the program.

Anger is natural, but action is better. Start with arm circles and leg lifts. Add more each day. And make it three sessions instead of two. If you want to live, you can do it. With my new cancer diagnosis, I have been so angry, but it's better than the despair. You can change you life if you want it enough.

Embarrassment is the least of your worries when you have cancer in your body. Treatment burdens everyone around you and it is easy to lose sight of what's good in your life when you are despairing. Everyone should be vigilant and protect their children with sunblock. One bad sunburn can activate cancer cells. Don't take a chance with your children.

So many issues in here, certainly covers the possibilities of hiking in the open, but some of the events are not credible. Not sure you can feed a baby bear safely without Mama attacking. I'd say decide which mood you're aiming for and maybe write more than one poem, one about the spiritual aspect of hiking and one about the everyday. It will add coherence to the poem.

No one who has not gone through it understands the despair that comes with the exhaustion and the fear. Women without friends and family are particularly at risk. I'm in the mddle of the whole mess, with strong support from family and friends, but still have moments of utter desolation. Anyone who can help this cause is a friend of mine.

What a high, eh? Congratulations. You made something out of nothing and someone else recognized it as worthwhile. Seeing your play performed must be incredible. They optioned my screenplay for first novel, but no movie deal yet. Contests are such an amazing spirit booster.

My grandmother used to read us a poem that started : Barefoot boy with cheeks of tan. And of course we loved Winnie The Pooh, and When We Were Eight, etc. etc. I still love to read those poems. The magic of words, it's why I became a writer.

Intriguing is the right word. Clever backstory references, but some of the big words jolted me out of your mood. Maybe you'll post an edit once you've thought on it for a while? This second reading has me thinking about a short story, the character of the boy sticks.

He looks so calm and wise. Keep him close and enjoy, the time flies by and suddenly they are 26 and off in some strange city and you're stuck with who you were before you were his mother.

This sounds like so much fun. I'd love to connect with my elementary school friends again, but I'm the one who left New England and most of them stayed. Have a great time. Omaha, there's a long story of my first love. Thom who came east to Cornell.
