Sue, nice piece on your Dad. My Dad served in WWII. I served in the NC Air National Guard for 6 years. Only about 15 percent of Americans have served in the military. I thank all of them for their service.

Being a Southerner and the husband of a Southern mystery writer, Terry Hoover, I must wholeheartedly agree. No one loves language or uses it better than our native sons and daughters. If you like mysteries, a few of my favorites - of course Terry is at the top of the list - are Cathy Pickens, Margaret Maron, and John Hart - all North Carolina residents.
