Very moving. Isn't it true that the simplest things are also the hardest to grasp?

I love the struggle in this piece. The encouraging words in the chorus act like a gnawing truth that she is having a hard time coming to terms with. The repetition is perfect--ehcoing like the human consciousness which never relents until we do the right thing.

I could actually hear the meter of the song, as well as the phrasing and acoustics....this really has potential and I hope you can shop it around of put it to music yourself. Maybe some material for the Fallen Weebles--who knows?

I see here a several-paragraph opinion rant with very little real substance to argue about.

That said, I do happen to agree that there is a ton of corruption on the Republican side of the forest. But there are some even scarier things happening on the radical fringe left. But, arguing about left vs right is 1) boring and 2) missing the forest for the trees.

Cheri,

If that is the case, shouldn't there be an equal number of folks watching the other networks? Everyone who watches Olbermann surely agrees with his views, right?

OK, I give. Trying to have a factual argument, where we talk about something as basic as ratings, just can`t happen with people who put out this quality of debate.

The race issue is getting so worn out. I hate to admit it, but as soon as the word "racism" comes out of someone's mouth these days, I stop listening. It shuts down debate, and the word is actually a pretty heavy word, and should only be used when there is evidence that it has occured. Using it so frivilously is just diminishing its weight nationwide.

OK---here we go again---let me just point out that the first person to break loose with names and insults was Chuck. More of that love and understanding we can expect from "the left" correct? I suppose this is just a minature version of "diplomacy in action"---a thinking man`s way of debate.

Nevermind the points he made in his comment---let`s not debate those....let`s just call people names and stir the hate. That works well. I don`t want to hear ANYTHING about how you and Dexter are against "Purveyors of Hate and Bigotry" after these recent displays. Walk the walk, guys.

A lot of people believe this, but do some research---you will find that in a vast majority of cases the cities that host the olympics lose big time.

Does anyone else see it? We are like Pavlov`s dogs here---once again we have this overriding sentiment that all of the voices of dissent are all eminating from Fox. Surely, if you disagree with Obama policy, you are from the GOP, and you watch only FOX. Does anyone actually believe this? Morever, do you have such disdain for your fellow Americans who work at FOX--the highest rated cable news station by a ridiculous margin--that they have lost their humanity? They are dogs? They aren`t Americans.

If we keeping arguing over which news programs we watch, we will 1) never agree, and 2) always argue about things BESIDES the actual issues that matter. Anyone else see what a tremendous distraction this is?

Were all of the folks who opposed the Olympics coming in 2016 from the GOP?

So, by this logic, the complaints that "the GOP" made about patriotism are valid, because we have deemed those who oppose the Chicago bid are unpatriotic, correct?

Foks, we HAVE to get out of this two-track line of thinking---it isn`t GOP and Democrats. We need to stop classifying argumetns like this. One, it oversimplifies the issue, ignoring all of the gray areas between the two parties, and two, it furthers this divisive "two camp" political mindset that is crippling our country with partisan arguing.

Arguments that I have heard people--not the GDP---saying are things like: "the Olympics overwhelmingly tend to be a financial loss for the cities that host them" or "we have more pressing issues to address than sending our president and his wife, on two separate chartered jets, to Copenhagen to make a case for Chicago in front of the Olympic Congress".

Now, aren`t those fair concerns, assuming both are true? If they aren`t factual, then let us disucss the facts, but if they are I think people have a right to condemn the games coming to our shores in 2016.

Frankly I am disappointed. How could cheer on blatant disregard and disrespect for one`s right to practice religion, ESPECIALLY after writing at length about the attrocities of racism in your Purveyors of Hate and Bigotry post? Is this not the same type of attitude you profess to hate so much? Chuck comes barging in here accusing religion of being blather, and insulting everyone here who practices Christianity--this is a good thing?

I realize you and Chuck are buds and that you "have your boy`s back", but maybe, just maybe, someone stepped over the line here.

The Taliban are not fundamentalist--they are radicals---the fringe of Islam. Way to insult Muslims and Christians in the same breath.

People like Gregory simply don`t want teachers trying to dictate whether THEIR children should believe evolution or creation. A pretty reasonable request---no?

Yeah, but keep in mind that a WiFi system is probably in place for the mobile workstations that the office uses from room to room. So, it really isnt so much of a cost to throw in an extra access point in the lobby for families to use and whatnot.

I see what you are saying, but we can also take that too far as well.

I think that is more for the people who are waiting on the patients than anything else....so long as they have everything else that a modern hospital should, I dont see a problem with that. No different than having a TV and some magazines for the folks in the waiting room, really.
