It depends on the day and what distractions I have before me, I suppose. I've been trying to do more travel writing here - but I have a book that I've been flogging for a couple of years now as well. That beast needs more research. Sadly, I have learned that unless research includes a plane ticket or hotel stay....I'm really not all that into it!

This was very well written Linda. It's always refreshing to get a "behind the scenes" look at people who's reputation often takes over the facts.

Not everyone may have agreed with the man, but he was definitely an original.

I'm afraid I agree on this one. I honestly can't envision one of my son's classmates suddenly compelled to drink to excess out of devotion to his alma mater...

Her skin is really just incredible. I know that they used dramatic lighting and touch-ups even back then - but holy cow. What I'd give for that complexion!

Your ocotillo has leaves!!! Mine is still very much in a dormant state. But it's planted facing west, so chances are it won't sprout until after Halloween!

Run away from the wallpaper!!!! Run away!!!! I've spent too many an afternoon steaming, peeling and/or replacing paper to ever voluntarily engage in that activity again.

Buy or rent a paint gun and a roll of heavy duty brown paper you can tape to the floor. It will make a world of difference!
