it is a real job, no matter what anyone says or thinks......any thing one does is a real job, no matter how much it pays. so keep the faith and hang in there. I would like to request you to if [ossible could you share these websites or places where you found this freelance work...I am very actively looking for such a thing and havent been in luck so far. thanks so much.

This is such a true tale of todays world. You couldnt have said it better. I totally understand what you mean by a dimmer swtich.......I am like that too and have been hurt because of that but now I have come to accept all this as a part of me. I believe that I couldnt be any different even if i wanted to and if I get hurt because of how i am, maybe that is how its was supposed to be, because i couldnt have been the other way anyway. Love is what makes the world go round and people like you balance the bad that is there in this world or else the world would be here anymore.

Stoufers gives me the opportunity to not only spend less time at the stove but also rest assured that my family will be full and healthy-full. Coming from India, and loving to cook, inclined me to cook the meals from scartch even when i tried out other cuisines. But what happened then was even though my husband loved the meals, and my toddler son appreciated the variety and actually ate (you cannot begin to realise how challeneging it is to feed him at this age when he wants to try new things all the time, not repeating anything for several days). At the end of the meal, my husband would hold my hand and tell me how much he loved the meal but how much more he would have loved holding my hand and sitting down with me and my son as a family and do something together instead. Thats when I realised that i needed to change and luckily stoufers came as a life saver.
Now, when my husband comes in from work, I am all dressed up and ready to greet him with a smile (I am actually using my lipstick now :))). he feels refreshed just by looking at me and then we all sit down for dinner together where my son can feed himself and we share a nice meal together.
Then we play blocks with him. he absolutely loves it when he teams up with his dad and we make two trains that cross the bridge together and race cars and make towers. He is just learning to speak and understand and has picked up on a word - teamwork from his wonder pets show. Amazingly he loves it when we build something together and sing the teamwork song. This is more precious to me than anything else in the whole wide world.
As a person with background in child development, I know that parent (both parents)time together is very beneficial (almost double beneficial) for a childs personality growth and self esteem and having been able to give that to our son is the single most wonderful thing I can now do because of spending less time in the kitchen, cooking, cleaning and then cooking again.

thank you so much all of you for your kind encouraging words. As most of you know, I have been busy with my toddler son and his activities, so much so that I seldom get a chance to come here, but when I saw the painting and read about it on wikipedia, I just had to put this idea into words. The prompt was the inspiration but the idea is inspired by a true event of my life where I actually saw the reflection of my granny in my grandpa when she passed away. Most of you would be knowing about this too but I just wanted to share this here with everyone. Infact, do look at the Old Guitarist and you will see a woman's face. It is believed that Picasso was painting a woman and did this one on top of that....or this painting might have a deeper meaning than what really shows. Thanks Reena for this wonderful prompt.

hmmm thats all very interesting. I used kikkoman and the regular one....maybe in India we get some other type. I ust remember that the brands I used earlier used to be thicker. is that good or bad?

I am overwhelmed with joy and am equally nostalgic, wanting to cross the oceans and reach out to you and hug you for being as wonderful as you are reminding me of the precious days and the golden friendship that we share. I am honored to be the topic of your first article on gather, for which I had been waiting since long. And true to my words, you write as beautifully as you you feel and as you are. The words are so pure and warm that they warm not only my heart but i'm sure the hearts of all readers. Plaese do keep writing. I am a stay at home mom with an active 2.5 year old son. Anyone who has had experience feeding a toddler would know how trying it is, specially with all the other activities going around. Right now he is a little too young for regular school but old enough to get bored at home and engage in mischievous activities. So besides keeping him busy with a daily activity schedule, his mood-swings per se food sometimes just make me feel so helpless. So I turn to my mom, my friends and my family for ideas on new things to try with him and having exhausted all the Indian meals I can prepare, I happily look forward to ready-to-eat meals like those that come from Stoufers. I first tried the lasagna and my son loved it. He had a good meal, that he ate on his own and I had a nice quite dinner with my husband, after I dont know how long. Now this is what I call a successful rescue effort. Stoufers saved me from going insane and in depression. Now I have a plan. I can give my son and my family not only variety but quality time too, istead of slogging in the kitchen annd not knowing if my son will finally relish what I am making for him. If given this opportunity, it would be a blessing for me and my family. Thanks.
