I remember House of Lloyd; was a 'supervisor' in KS with them quite a few years ago. Nice folks. How cute that a puppy would bring you something like that. Perhaps he thought you could use a bit of inspiration at that moment...;-)

Well. Hmmm...I have a few memories from my childhood of old uncles eating pickled eggs and then smelling terrible afterward...LOL. But the way you describe them it's quite different. Thanks for sharing :-)

I liked The Apprentice the first season, but it was just kind of 'same old' after that. I can see how the Celebrity version would play on the 'celebrity' of the contestants though since the money is for charity isn't it? Not sure about that one.

I do watch Celebrity Rehab for some reason...lol. It's 'Daniel Baldwin' on that show. I think he's the oldest Baldwin who's a big, arrogant addict, but hey, that's what keeps him on tv I suppose. At least Dr. Drew is a real doctor I hope.

Years ago I watched it often, but since I started a home day care 3 years ago (which I've closed this year) I didn't have time for it. The few times I have in the past year when I was 'off' for the day I was completely disgusted by the garbage that Rosie O'Donnell spewed out and the 'higher than thou' attitude of that Elizabeth chick. Now that Whoopi is there it's gotten better. I did see the hot topics on Monday I think it was, and it was actually a little interesting. Didn't stay to watch the rest though...lol :-)

Wonderful article! I loved reading fairy tales and fables as a child...still do in fact. Perhaps now is a good time to go looking for a good 'fable' book for my four year old son; I'm shocked at myself for not doing so sooner. He'd love it too. :-) Thanks Beverly for another good read.
