Reform, not take over. The Republicans created a bill that was only about 300 pages - easy to read and understand. It was about reform.

You obviously do not follow what's happening in Washington. You need to study up on what Obama's czars can and cannot do. They absolutely did take over a car company. They forced it's head to resign. And the czar absolutely CAN decide whether or not other companies are doing what the government thinks is right and if they like what people are being paid - in EVERY business in America.

If the government is required to provide us with health care because it's necessary to the pursuit of happiness....does that mean they must provide us with guns and ammo so we can be armed?

Or....if I determine that a $60,000 car is what I need in the pursuit of happiness, should the government provide that?

DD, come on. He sat there listening to Rev. Wright's hatred for 20 years and claimed he didn't know. When the heat was turned on, he quit going to the church. That was all out in the open for everyone to see.

He has lied about so many things. The fact that he lied about being a Muslim is important. There are probably people who would not have voted for him if they had known that. And Obama knew that from the beginning.

Oh, Isaiah, I'm sure I know more about them than you do. They don't cover everyone and they increase costs. Both of these were given as the reasons for the "reform". It's not reform. It's a government takeover.

What Glenn Beck knows is that there was no Clinton surplus.

As can clearly be seen, in no year did the national debt go down, nor did Clinton leave President Bush with a surplus that Bush subsequently turned into a deficit. Yes, the deficit was almost eliminated in FY2000 (ending in September 2000 with a deficit of "only" $17.9 billion), but it never reached zero--let alone a positive surplus number. And Clinton's last budget proposal for FY2001, which ended in September 2001, generated a $133.29 billion deficit. The growing deficits started in the year of the last Clinton budget, not in the first year of the Bush administration.

Keep in mind that President Bush took office in January 2001 and his first budget took effect October 1, 2001 for the year ending September 30, 2002 (FY2002). So the $133.29 billion deficit in the year ending September 2001 was Clinton's. Granted, Bush supported a tax refund where taxpayers received checks in 2001. However, the total amount refunded to taxpayers was only $38 billion . So even if we assume that $38 billion of the FY2001 deficit was due to Bush's tax refunds which were not part of Clinton's last budget, that still means that Clinton's last budget produced a deficit of 133.29 - 38 = $95.29 billion.

Glenn Beck also knows that everyone received tax benefits under Bush, which when they expire under Obama as he has promised, people will finally realize they had. I've shown them many times. When the tax cuts expire every income tax bracket will rise, with the lowest tax bracket experiencing the largest increase – jumping from 10 percent to 15 percent of income.

Hi, Bud. Great to see you here. Some of these folks give me a hard time - about religion and politics, which you know I can't help mentioning. :) But others are awesome folks. Most are much kinder and gentler than some other places we've been. Well....at least to newbies.

You're right. We don't want to wish Obama harm. Perhaps we should be praying for our country - that more people are saved, that those who know the Lord will pray more for our country, for wisdom about what we should be praying. Perhaps we should be asking God to use us.
