Gloria - you are inspiring and don't forget it. You took a sucky situation and decided to change it and that takes some guts. You failed a test 5 times and you are stepping up again to take it until you pass - that's inspiring.

Don't forget that almost all the successful entreprenuers that we know - Steven Jobs, Donald Trump - had some failure(s) and even bankruptcy before they made it big.

Gloria - what would get you totally fired up about taking that test again. Yes, we need to work on your attitude on test day so that you are unbeatable...but in the mean time - what do you need to do so that you are ready to crush the Serpetine...

Interesting question Ann.

Gloria - I also have a question - it sounds like there is one section of the test that is what is snagging you - what is the specific skill that you are not passing. If we focus there - perhaps we can give you some coaching to help you sail through it when the weather is better and the sixth driving test is scheduled....

Wow - I can see why you would have anxiety if you decided that you weren't "trained right." That is similar to taking the bar exam or the SATs and walking in thinking "I'm not prepared" or "I didn't study the right things." How many times have you re-taken the test?

Gloria - when you are ready - let's go.

First - I want everyone to know that you have started on an eating program and have stuck to it for two days - good for you. That will help you feel like you are back in control again.

Tonight - I wanted to spend the chat discussing anxiety - specifically the anxiety that you feel about the Commercial Driving test that you have coming up. It is a big deal. It is important to you. So let's use this hour to discuss how to make sure you pass that thing!

Gloria - I think we should just catch up on the phone and finish this conversation...i want to make sure you aren't in a weird place about what the book is recommending and it sounds like you might be....yes, you've done a tremendous amount to change your life - and you should be very proud of the work that you've done and your level of commitment to yourself....I will talk to you offline tomorrow.

Gloria - this interface is really clumsy - b/c we keep passing each other in cyberspace with our comments. I think that if your mind is focused on thoughts about driving for a livign, moving to Canada - etc., that is a VERY positive feeling adnd EXACTLY what you should be thinking....if this is in your mind - then you are following the book to a tee

I can see why you are bummed reading that book - b/c you are emmersed in how negative your mindset is....

For example, if you think about the semi truck test - damn straight - do not visual popping the clutch, or slipping or failing. You need to visualize passing.....this is why you are so stuck - you can't see anything positive in front of you.

What is bothering you is that you don't have positive feelings about your future. We need to insert a positive vision about your future and about everything you are doing.

It is discouraging when you start to notice how damn negative your thoughts are. You must do the other piece of this which is to INSERT a positive vision.
