I'm glad to see that Gather is doing something to change this. The spam messages are one of the main reasons I stopped coming to Gather. I got tired of my inbox being filled with messages that had address fields a mile long but the message itself consisted of about 10 words. I understand that people want to promote their articles but a) there are better ways to do it and b) save the promotion for actual articles, not jokes or pictures of the dandelions in your driveway.

I love using Google Docs. I use it a lot for work because its easier sometimes than using the VPN to log into my work computer remotely, especially if I only need to access one or two documents. And I work on a lot of personal stuff on my breaks at work so if, for example, I write a few paragraphs for an article while I'm on my lunch break, I can upload it and access it when I get home and finish it.

Google has some great features. If you haven't tried iGoogle with all of its various widgets, you should!

Its actually a cover-up of one of those really bad homemade India ink tattoos. You can't even see it but there's a heart covered up by her hair, in the bangs.

Great article! I became a mother at a young age and, because no one had ever taught me how to cook, I relied a lot on boxed meals, frozen foods, eating out, etc. Only when my oldest two kids were about junior high age did I start teaching myself to cook. Now I LOVE to. With the oldest two in high school, I'm trying to encourage them to cook, along with other domestic duties, to prepare for adulthood. And I'm also letting the 5 yr old get more involved, even if its just learning to break open eggs or stir things.

My problem now is just finding the time! And figuring out how to eat healthy even though its more expensive to do so.
