My employer actually pays me a small stipend to lead a somewhat healthy life. I think that someone pointed out that the value for losing a pound of weight was $7. That is if someone is paid for every pound of weight lost the tipping point is $7/lb. I sure would like someone to pay me to lose weight.

I am not a bleeding heart liberal but... I am happy that...

We have a 5 day work week.
We have a 40 hour work week. with overtime (for the most part)
We have child labor laws.
We have a safe work place. (within reason)

All of these things, according to the republicans, were going destroy our country. Not so much. The republicans have been wrong on the economy for most of the last 100 years. Go figure. Plus they have driven up the national debt to unprecedented levels. Tickle down was a joke.

The whole government computer infrastructure is out of date. With the money we wasted on illegal wars we could have been fortifying the government computer systems. AC it has nothing to do with adultery limited to Republican. Of course there is plenty of adultery all around. The problem is that the Republican party holds themselves up as holier than thou. They regularly thump the bible and say how much better they are because they have "family values" and the democrats don't. The reality is they are just preaching to the gullible who actually believe the tripe.
