Devin - thanks for the article. Very interesting. My only guess as to the actions of the press is this - without a good fight, they've got nothing.

I'm not sure I'd be unhappy if McCain was the next Goldwater. I happen to agree with alot of what Goldwater stood for. Today, the guy would be a democrat.

Obama the most liberal senator? Alright! After 7 years of a full court press towards the extreme right, the country could use a strong liberal presence to swing us back towards the middle.

Obama unknown? His supporters blinded? I've been following Obama's career for years. I've read his books and studied his policy statements. There's a lot out there if you care to find it.

It's always about the $$ in a presidential race unfortunately. The source of funds is incredibly telling. Barack continues to stay tight with the Clinton machine because of the sheer #'s of every day people donating. that's fascinating.

Of course, he's lying about the costs and saying it's the Democratic governors fault...but he signed it with all of the additional costs, not Patrick.
"The bill that I submitted to the Legislature didn't cost $1 more than what we were already spending," he said Wednesday night during a GOP debate. "However, the Legislature and now the new Democratic governor have added some bells and whistles."

From a Dem perspective, it's too bad. He's easier to beat than McCain.

Nope.

I have the same issue. I weighed my options in the primaries and I voted for who I thought would make the best president.

I'm a little sick of people like NOW telling me I'm a gender traitor if I don't vote for a woman just because I am one.

This country is in the crapper because of the the last 7 years of divisive politics. I want a president who can fix our problems and bring this country back together. I don't care if that person is a man or a woman frankly, as long as I think they can do the job.

Novak is a hack. I need to hear this from a real source to believe it.

That said, I'm not sure it's such a bad idea.

And Christine - this old chestnut "while he wont wear the flag,..or salute the American flag!" has already been proven false about a million and a half times.

All I can really say here is "YEAH".


This rebate makes me crazy because I remember talking to people back when W first unleashed his tax rebates years ago and the general sentiment was "Hey, he's putting money in my pocket today so he's okay with me" and nobody thought about the long term or what those rebates were hiding.

It's a bandaid on a missing limb.

Lady Narita - I agree with your comments about the Clintons. How I used to love and admire them. I'm incredibly unhappy with the way they are managing their campaign.

It looks alot like the early Clinton campaigns, only this time Obama is the upstart outsider and Clinton is the one out to destroy him.

Ha. My cats are indoors but I like to call them my own Homeland Security team. If a squirrel or other animal even THINKS of crossing onto the property - they know about it first and will surveil them the entire time.

I don't like where this campaign is going. The democrats are getting nasty, and it's discouraging. I don't like that there's a skirmish in Vegas now that Obama has the endorsement of the Culinary workers union, and the person who started it is a friend of the Clintons. This is stinky Republican stuff.

I don't think we'll have our candidates until the conventions.
