In an answer to Michael: They were INSIDE the bar and beat the guy up INSIDE the bar... people get in their cars and drive drunk all the time because the police aren't sitting outside of "straight" establishments arresting anyone walking around "looking drunk".

Regardless of the reason for arrest, or whatever.. the bottom line is EXCESSIVE FORCE. I highly doubt that the man in question was putting up that much of a fight if he was sooooo drunk. He's not a big guy. There was NO reason to give the man a brain injury and possibly life threatening injuries. It's ridiculous!

It's not my lifestyle, but it doesn't give me or anyone else the right to beat the dogcrap out of someone else. Especially NOT by people who are supposed to PROTECT and SERVE!

I also am saddened by the sudden loss of MJ. And people can think what they want but a man died today, there is no reason to be callous and cruel. There are children without a father crying themselves to sleep and a family in shock! People need to remember what the world was like when we had something called common courtesy and decency. His family loved him and are hurting deeply tonight!

Regardless of your personal feelings about him, someone lost a friend, a father, a brother, uncle, son, and a loved one. A little consideration is needed for them if not for the man himself.

The thing is here...
If abortion is the issue:
No one wants abortion to be used as a form of birthcontrol, and if parents raise their kids right (godly) then it won't be an issue... it wouldn't be discussed in the white house because it isn't needed to be.
If Race is an issue:
God made us all...
If Religion is an issue:
Obama is a baptist... not a muslim. We all heard "his preacher" rant about what's wrong with America... he cannot be both muslim and baptist... pick one. I've researched him, and everyone says he is a great christian treats all people with respect.

On a personal level he showed his true christianity by NOT reacting to the mean attacks McCain couldn't stop talking about. EX: in the debate.. they were talking about hurt feelings and negative campaigns... Obama said things like McCain is old and out of touch... HE IS.. nothing wrong with being old, or even out of touch. But not when your the leader of a nation... you must know what your people want.

Obama said: No one cares about our hurt feelings, they care about the economy, the war in Iraq... important things... health care.

McCain didn't gracefully follow that lead... instead he launched into another attack. It reminds me of the story:

A man and wife were in a preacher's office after having months of problems and at the wife's insistence. The preacher listened as they both voiced thier concerns and calmly gave them both pads of paper and pens.

Write down what you bothers you about your spouse, what you'd like to see changed.

The wife started scribbling away at her pad, and the husband followed suit.... they finished and handed the papers back to the preacher. The preacher read the wife's list first.. she railed on about toothepaste lids and whisker shavings in her sink, how he never listened.. watched too much TV... etc.

Finally the preacher said to the husband: Lets see what you said.

I love you, I love you, I love you... was all his paper said.

McCain was the wife... Obama was the husband.
So concerned with his campaign he forgot what was best for both HIMSELF and the country. Obama never lost sight of that.

McCain said the mistake was his, and he lost the election. He knew it... he played the republican standard playbook and lost. We've seen it all before and knew what he'd do next. He should have stuck with his Mavericky self before he toed the party line to get the nomination this year. THAT was the true McCain... and THAT McCain would have won.

(after he ditched the dingbat Alaskan)

Think about it.... Maybe God's plan FINALLY was carried out. Bush messed things up so bad, that America is back on track realizing that ANYONE can be president once again.

ALSO: Biblical faith CANNOT dictate the law of the land... Separation of church and state... it goes both ways, you cannot endorse a president from a pulpit and you cannot dictate a faith belief as a law of the land. We all know abortion is horrible and I wish we lived in a world where we didn't have to have them...

This isn't a Walgreens commercial where we live in Perfect world... we live in the real world. I'm a christian.... I voted Obama... and I think I did the right thing. Now that he's in office, show support and pray that God helps him make the right decisions for this country.. BUSH clearly wasn't listening!

Ahhh... that, I was just quoting the news article. Which contends that Hillary is big with the blue coller workers, and there's nothing wrong with that... goodness knows someone needs to represent the everyday man.

I personally will be rooting for Hillary until the bitter end. I will not vote for McCain OR Obama.... which I guess kinda says I'll be essentially voting for McCain.

There's got to be a way to let the DNC know how we feel Superdelegates or not! Our votes and opinions matter just as much, and we will continue to be screwed over until we make ourselves heard. Any ideas how to get the message out?

Here's my take on things... in the exit polls, more Obama supporters say they will support Hillary if she was the nominee, but voters who support Hillary says they WILL NOT support Obama's run for the white house.

THAT being said... Hillary would stand a better chance at winning and uniting democrats in the nation as a whole. Super delegates NEED this information, because a non vote from Hillary's backers would result in a vote FOR McCain, and the republicans could end up in office for another 4 years.

I was a Obama supporter but the more I hear from him (and his pastor) the less I like him. If I attended a church that I didn't believe what the preacher was saying, I'd leave...

I believe they should put the fight aside, run as President and Vice president and unite the people. More people and minorities would be represented if they ran together, it would solve the ongoing drain on democratic coffers and let us all take a breather from the constant barrage of "She should quit!" "No he should!" drama AND it would force the media to find something else to do. Like hound a celebrity again.

Meanwhile... they can begin to focus on campaigning for the democratic national party and securing a Democratic White House win. Right now, Obama looks like he might be a liability for an October surprise (especially with loose lipped preachers making fun of people who might've voted for Obama running around) where as Hillary.... mweh.... her dirty laundry.............. is Bill and he's already been washed and hung up to dry on the line.

Enjoyable reading even if I have to agree with Bret on a few points.

Why would she dream of white picket fences with an idiot like Stan? Thank goodness I learned all I needed from THE one and only Stan I ever dated... I like to think of myself as reasonably intelligent women and I fell for a lot of flimsy excuses for alot of things.

But enough was enough... and I never saw him again except for part of his 12 step program when he apologized to me for all he'd done then awkwardly inquired if I had slept with other people to get back at him.

To which I replied:

I would have had to thought about you in the first place.

Congrats on making it to round 2, I have a hard time writing the male short way of answering a woman's questions, although I really shouldn't. But you do it quite well and I love the story!

I may go out on a limb and say I think you could win this thing!
