Sometimes, I find a great deviation from the facts of history distracting. It depends on the era and events of the story. If I have a personal interest and understanding of the historical facts and feel that they've been interpreted to present a certain message, I get irritated. If I'm unfamiliar with the historical facts, I'm neutral. In any case I believe that it's important that the filmmaker or writer state their literary and cinematic devices upfront--like the creation of composite characters or fictitious locations/events used to move the story along. You know the famous disclaimer "This is a dramatization of historical events. Some of the events and characters have been modified in the retelling of this story," or something like that.

I keep my heart healthy by:
-eating low on the food chain
-exercising 3-4 times a week --minimum
-taking time to laugh

I find that my perception of what I've written varies with the type of writing that I'm doing. With articles and essays, I tend to feel pretty confident most of the time. I'm a little less confident when I'm working on a poem or a fiction piece. I think that it's because I consider the last two as works of self-expression, and I view the first two through the lens of journalism.

I saw this on Yahoo! I read that he is undergoing skin rejuvenation treatments which is a long way of saying he probably got a chemical peel skin peel. If that is the case, the newly exposed and healed layer of skin has not been subjected to much if any sunlight while he heals. When he gets more sun the melanin in his skin will darken to protect it, but it will most likely not be as dark as the complexion he developed during his baseball years.

I recently read Chopra's Jesus: A Story of Enlightenment. I always find his books a wonderful exercise in thought and prompt for contemplation. He helps you to shift your perspective just so which leads the reader to see something new and potentially wonderful in the familiar.

I exercise 3 to 4 times a week at a minimum--two yoga sessions, some weight training, and lots of time on the elliptical or treadmill. Since I resumed exercising this spring--after a long lapse--I have more energy. I'm also more relaxed, and I get up more quickly literally and mentally;- ). Exercise used to be a chore for me--now, it's the cheapest and most beneficial therapy I can find.

I think that prequels work better for books than films. When you read you make a larger personal contribution to the characters and the world created by the story-teller. Film is a bit more of a passive experience.
