Mathematically it has been shown that infinities come in different sizes. For example the set of all integers is infinite, but larger than the set of all even integers which is also infinite. So, whereas your chances of achieving the others are infinitely small, your chances at 5, 6, and 10, are even smaller.

Charlesianism has a solstice festival too, but we just call it Solstice. We have a midwinter festival also, though. It's called Charlesmas. It's January 23rd.

CC, The pay grade thing is just a way to compare ranks from one branch to the other. A buck private is E-1, the lowest rank, the lowest pay grade. I assume the Marines have buck privates, too. A private first class (PFC) is E-3, and the Marine lance corporal may be that. I wasn't asking actually about salary, just about rank.

I'm sure people have thrown Mao and Stalin at him.

I have to confess, though, that of late signs of militant religion make me nervous. A new store front church went in around the corner and I feel slightly unsafe when I go by it. That makes me think I would, with many caveats, agree slightly with the proposition that religion tends more toward mischief than lack of it does. But I wouldn't put it forward as any kind of truth.

This makes me interested in this discussion.

Thanks, CC. Hey, do you know what pay grade a lance corporal is? A PFC in the army is an E-3, for example. A corporal in the Army, like a Spec 4, is an E-4.

Drat! I was hoping I could fight in the Xmas war (against the Christians). Could I be a corporal? Maybe a lance corporal, that always sounded so cool to me.
