Black flies come earlier now. Everything does. That would be some of the evidence of global warming along with arctic melting, sea level rise and so on. It's the real deal, happening now.

The next to the last part is certainly true. We've done nothing, yet. You mistake absolute uniformity with a rise in the global "mean" temperature. Absolutism in all its forms is the fallacy of either/or. That isn't the way things work in nature. Gore is right of course and NASA agrees with him.

Here in LA it was 79 over the weekend and I just harvested a ripe tomato. 73 today. Colder than Maine? Not. I'm from there. They got buried in snow, of course that warms things up a bit. Arnold is one of the few Republicans who doesn't have his head up his keister on this topic. For the rest you'd think it would be warm up there too, but it only makes it harder to think straight from the sound things.

I have news for you Pilgrim, the use of natural gas is supported in Copenhagen and the bridge fuel to the future. Tar sands to the north? Not. I know, you say you're cold in Wagga Wagga. It happens. Used to be be much colder. I remember my cabin in Alaska in 1976. -50 for 40 days. Not now.

This is true from a casual reading of the history sans Brown, so it's a case of KPO. keen Perception of the obvious. All of my ancestors, one who worked for Washington during the revolution, were masons. Many of our later presidents were too. Of course most of the citizenry don't know this so in that regard Brown does us a great educational service. I bet he doesn't get credit for that.

It's real and generally the world I live in, when I'm lucky. Hemingway and I share the same haunts. In Jackson, Jamie is closer to more published writers than she ever will be. Most of those live up in Livingston. Until the lucky day comes, of course.

Well as a journalist I will testify that this is indeed faux. Anyone who lives in Sausalito doesn't need a bailout of any sort. One doubts they would be offered anything in the real world, but it's telling about what the faux journalist thinks about the world, moreso than the government's actions or inactions. People have opinions, but they aren't all created equal.

POD books are not on shelves. That's the point. If I walk into Barnes and Noble I will not find one copy of a Flying Pen Press book there. Nor will I from any online only publisher. You should be honest about what you are is all I'm saying. No advance and no copies anywhere pre-sale. That's all you have. You'll do fine for sure. Selling books to the authors. That's the wrong way cash flow matrix for a writer.

"Flying Pen Press has experienced growth and improved sales since October." Based on what? two copies more than 0? With all due respect Flying Pen Press is not a publisher where "Mid-list' has any meaning as the term is known in the industry.

If buyers go into stores even in reduced numbers they won't find a POD book on the shelf. End of story.

Please do. Trumpet it into the wind and write if you find work, but I still think self-publishing is as far as you'll go. And really who cares? Maass won't find the writing they're looking for from already published vanity books. That's my honest opinion and it's holding up nicely thank you.

Maass is a great agent Dale. Just don't tell him who is publishing you. He won't be as kind as your friends. Nice to see Mike has a grasp, albeit partially, of the concept of Milankovitch cycles. We're about 100,000 years from the next cold twitch from those.
