Hey Lady Neetah!

Thanks for the outpouring of love! I picked up and savored every iota, every last drop.

I will respond in full over the next couple of days but for now, all of these pieces are authored by me. I'm just trying to plug The Black Right, for which I serve as executive producer, as I go along.

Looking forward to our exchange and strategy session... the race is tight- its up to us, the American People to fight for what we believe in.

Hey Joan- I really appreciate the comment and your rating. Thank you. This is an exciting time in American history- I hope we get it right. Best scenario for that is turning out the vote and the folks, generation y'ers (millenials), who will be impacted most significantly vote their future. I just get the sense if the older folks decide the race, it will be decided along the lines of... race.

Interesting perspectives Cathi- Linda. I was there covering the event for www.theblackright.com and definitely felt the crowd's response to Senator McCain was stronger. I think there are a couple of reasons for this- a. ) Senator McCain was very direct and b.) the crowd was in conservative Orange County at a predominantly white Evangelical church (polled that same day, Evangelicals favor McCain to Obama nearly 3 to 1.)

Owwww! on that 1- was that for content, style, grammar or all of the above? Guess I am lucky I didn't get a 0.

Hey Charlie- thanks for the perspective and critique - that's one way of looking at it I hadn't thought of! Definitely focus upon issues of race will only seek to underscore and emphasize but we can't ignore its presense at the 5 ton elephant in the room. Its presense in the room is real and definitely impacting strategies (on both sides) as well as the outcome of this historic election.

Deborah- sounds good to me. I bet you are basing your evaluation upon the policies on those real issues- Republicans as based upon the George W. Bush administration don't have a lot to run on. Economy, out the window. War, energy... doesn's work.

Hey Spencer! Nice to 'hear' from you. I have not been on gather in a bit.

Yeah, sad but predictable. Absolutely- we are all mixed. I hope he calls them on it. Using his own code language, of course. Can't call them "racist". But he can say they are taking their game straight from Lee Atwater's play book, straight from Karl Rove's ethics and that he refused to get dirty with them, that he refuses this politics from the past, that he will be a president for all Americans, not marginalized by them and their narrow expectations. He has to fight back defensively, not offensively, and just stop it.

This is good stuff- I also started out as a drawer. My mother showed me the grid method and I remember using that method to transfer all sorts of VW's and Mustangs. Its cool to get an essay on the mechanics behind the genius~ how all of these elements come together and are meshed, fused by love and imagination. A nomad, huh? So like a free spirit, basically? Every line here is an opening line to fantastic truth, infinite mystery. The lines make the heart race, open consciousness, bake dreams. I love the lines and will e-mail to those who are artists as well as those whom I love. These lines have power but I love the perfect metaphorical symetry of 'When she cries, my life rains'. Mr. M, you know the sticky, sordid thing that is love- thank you for sharing your power-filled impressions so that I would learn something of love through your eyes.

if by bandwagon, you are paying homage to the width or girth of her talent- pretty easy to jump on- like being on earth and saying you are going to join earth-kind.

the movement- we are working on engineering some interesting undercurrents into something more prominent and pronounced. would love to work with you on it.
