I decided to come here and comment. I'm teary eyed. You and I are kindred spirits in the world of the hopelessly but endlessly loved deformed cats.

I loved Gus I really, really loved him and it just breaks my heart to know this but it warms my heart that he has been so loved and revered by so many of us.

I was able to see this movie this weekend and I LOVED it! The plot was predictable for a teenage coming of age movie but the acting was wonderful. Kristin Stewart definitely stole every scene with her acting and the soundtrack is GREAT!

This is actually my least favorite of the series. I've been to the replica of the "little house in the big woods" in Pepin, Wisconsin. In September of every year the birth place of Laura Ingalls Wilder holds "Laura Ingalls Wilder" Day. It's a lot of fun and my young daughters enjoy it.

I have to say that it's been refreshing to watch some actual foreign policy in action over the past week after the past eight years of foreign bullying and school yard tactics. President Obama is showing himself to be a true statesman.

I enjoyed the poem a lot. I wasn't really into her reading of it though. I find that odd. Granted it was freezing cold out there but when I've read the poem since the inauguration I've liked it more and more in my head.

The idea that abortion providers are heartless and place more emphasis on the right to choose over the best interest of the woman is an incorrect assumption. I've been present at an abortion and I witnessed the staff informing the young girl of all of her other options. Making sure that this was definitely what she wanted and then double checking again.

The odd thing is was after my miscarriage I was expected to "get on with it". I think that is how we deal with women in general when it comes to children, childbirth or the loss of a child. We don't require women who have experienced an unplanned loss of a child to got to counseling either and those women probably need it too. It's our national psyche in which we don't want to dwell on the long term psychological effects of many things.

This is very sad and it's important that you attempt to hook up with a grief counselor who can help you walk through the developmental differences that children experience grief go through. It's typical that children don't start grieving until the adults in their lives are finished with the grief process. It's amazing how our minds protect us. I'm sorry for your loss.
