I always have the first 5 chapters, ending, a couple climax elements, and key dialogue figured out before I start a new novel.

Thanks for posting this, Pat. I'm curious about this as well. Looks like the same firm from Florida is offering a used copy of my STACCATO thriller there for over $39. What's up with that??

I actually printed out a hardcopy of my next book. Getting ready to be creative again--but not in a "writing" sense, more editing what's already been composed.

I write in several characters' POV, but am quite clear in defining who is leading the chapter or scene. No head hopping for me.

I've been running across a troubling issue while looking at "newbie" manuscripts lately. So many are switching POV within chapters/scenes. We all need to remind ourselves that in genre fiction, there are no "bobbing heads" allowed. When switching POV's, implement a page break or asterisk break to indicate a change in POV/location/time passage.

I decided it was time to get back into some creativity, so put promotion of STACCATO on simmer and printed out the latest version of the 2nd book in the series.
