John, there's another way to look at it. They have lost their moral compass and they do not feel the link between the civil rights struggle and the human rights struggle. As James Brown said, "Money Will Change You." But power is even an older conduit of evil.

The Children of Israel weren't lost physically James. They lost their way morally. After the rein of King Solomon, there was a conflict between his two sons, according to the bible that turned the sons of Israel more and more ethnocentric, and less and less theocentric. By the the time the final Prophet from the Israeli line, Jesus, rose on the scene the dominant tribe of Yahudah (Judah = the Jews) became not only the national identity, but also the name of the religion. I've been involved with the Torah for decades. I have never seen any mention of a Jewish Religion given to the children of Israel. The religion of Abraham is identified as Shlema according to the modern Hebrew transliteration, and has the exact same meaning as Islam. Surprise!

Unfortunately, the universal message and the inclusive trans-cultural Hebrew traditions of Our Holy Father Abraham, cannot be comprehended nor carried on when viewed from prideful ethnocentric eyes. So the parables of Jesus went unheeded. Instead of rendering onto Caesar the things that are Caesar's, the ethnocentric Children of Israel took the side of the Zealots whose tactics were very similar to present day Zionists. The Covenant with God demanded that The Sons Of Israel win the day by exporting the Divine Guidance of Loving The God & Neighbor, and worshiping no other but The Truth and Justice through reason and conscience. The method was not applied. Violence was employed instead. The result was the utter destruction of the Roman Built Temple of Solomon, the Arch Of The Covenant, and Hebraic Blood Line, as most of the males (too include all of their renown scholars) were put to the sword by the Romans. It still makes me shudder. Karmic Law is brutal. Cruel Rome didn't escape either. What went around came around. Who'd have ever predict that mighty Rome would be sacked by the Visigoths... of all people? I hope I cleared that up for you James. I sometimes forget that I'm not writing for my students. Sorry.

Clarke M. as usual you're out there fencing with those wind mills. Go get em brother. But dig. All this happened before. It's a story that's a rerun. How many great powers have used itty bitty pawn like the Zionist State to try to control a region. And in the end, the itty bitty pawn is sacrificed to serve the interests of the great power, if it oversteps it's role. The Zionists are playing into the hands of fate. The Law of Karma is already in play. It will take a God Awesome act of compassion and generosity to turn the thing around. And I don't believe The Zionist Party has one ounce of compassion in it. It's Cyclops tunnel vision eye is fixed and filled with covetousness and greed. And it does not see the pit is digging for itself and its constituents. Three thousand years worth of history has taught these people nothing. The world is going global. The fiscal realities that created The Zionist State are become transparently vulnerable. China, South America, Many parts of Africa have become partners with people who see The Zionist Expansionist Program as abominably dangerous. America is not like Israel. It can and has turned around radically. And many Jews all over the world see that the bully that took the Zionists to the dance, may end up leaving with another bow. So rant on. Keep on fussing with good men like Clarke, and The Jewish Scholars who have warned you against The Return without The Messiah for 0ver 60 years. Keep on not considering human life other than Jewish human life valuable. Keep on not considering any human aspiration other than Jewish aspiration as worthy of realization. Keep on trying to tell people that The Atheist Zionist Party deserved to occupy a land it was driven from 2000 years ago because God gave it to them. Time is always on the side of Truth, and Justice. It is the nature of things.

Actually, Lady N Of No. Cal., Israel is more ethnocentric than racist. The point that I'm trying to make in my brief essay is that it was a racist vibe that dominated the culture of the powerful that accepted the white, Eastern Europeans, Zionist claim to land that belonged to somebody else, who were brown and (Negroid) Middle Eastern. I'm saying that if the Zionist movement had attempted what they attempted in 1968 instead of 1948 the ethnocentric (racist?) state of Israel would have never been created, and all of this bloody strife would have been avoided. It was a stupid, dangerous, unjust move to create it in the first place. And now that We The People know better, we should take the side of what is right rather than the side of the status quo. Does that make sense to you, my beautiful fellow Darkie?

Although I suspect that brother Indyk wouldn't have accepted the invitation if he'd known he be against such a renown and informed "spoken for HAMAS" as Dr. Finkelstein, I'd have preferred that he brought out the establishment's arguments, to see how they matched up with against Norman's rapier/take-no-prisoners debate style. Our real problem, Amigo, is that We The People are primarily popular-media-plugged. Even though there's internet, and many, many folks have access to the information of both sides, we rather watch porn, play video games, and check out the sport scores, and movie reviews than spend time seeking knowledge. Without the neighborhood congregations; the center of the square town hall meetings; the "Common Sense" citizen supported muck rakers, We The People don't have a platform to stand on. Any suggestions, Amigo?

I think the Universal Code is already with us, John. Don't murder people. Don't lie to people. Don't steal from people, and don't even crave other people's things, including their mates. The is simple, straight forward, and doable.

The problem, as you so rightly put it James, is that We The People consider ourselves separate entities, though, metaphysically, we are one. There is not one of us who feels bad when we are wronged. We hurt if some one murders someone close to us. We hurt if someone steals something from us. We hurt when we are lied to or if someone misrepresents him or herself to us. We share the same basic human feelings and emotions. We simply must realize that we, are us, and if we cannot love one another, we can at least have pity on each other because of that fact.

We must come to recognize that there are miscreants among us. If they rule us... if they gain a degree of advantage over us... if we allow them to blur our perception with clever doubt inciting sophistry to the degree that buy into their wrong, and sell our souls for the small carrots they dangle in our faces to entice us to help them in their villainy, then we become them. Health, safety, and happiness become near i to mpossible.

The question of course is, how are We The People to re-form ourselves into the oneness of real community, instead of the artificiality of virtual community. Earth is one, and we all live on her. It's gonna take a miracle, James.

I believe in the power of prayer. I believe in the power of dialogue. In order to agree upon our oneness, we have to agree to disagree without being disagreeable... like what you and I are doing, James. I hold meetings for prayers and dinners in my house, daily. We're planning to invite neighborhood people to gatherings and outings this summer. Fifteen years ago we stood alone against the gangster element in San Diego with the cooperation of various home, and property owners and the then chief of police and now mayor of San Diego and virtually rid this neighborhood of covert gang drug dealing activity.

John, believe me. We The People is not just a euphemism. When we believe in and feel our human commonality, we can successfully stand against the wrong doers and their wrong. But if we don't, they will dominate us, and we will be cast into the same chasm of evil as them. Wrong. Complicit. Guilty.
