My company has the largest network of mystery shoppers in the US -- we call them Virtual Customers :)

You get paid to do shops if you're employed as one, but it isn't as if you can just do it while you're doing your regular Christmas shopping.

Usually when a client wants shopping done, they'll tell us what they need (usually a customer perspective on how the store works, whether the employees are doing what they're supposed to etc.) and then we find shoppers to go to specific store units to do it.

Good stuff David. As someone who grew up near the water, it's difficult to convey what that means to someone not familiar with it.

All types of writing are included in this -- poetry, prose, fiction, essays, etc.

Whatever form suits you best for what you're trying to achieve.

A wonderful essay (I'm assuming this isn't fiction) and a masterful use of all the prompts, without being too overt about it!
