I finally told her that what she was doing was spreading propaganda disguised as survey questions and that she ought to pay attention to that and decide if that was something she could live with doing.

I'm dealing with a situation now in which people that I have been close to all my life are delivering the same sort of deceitful messages (some of them about me). Honesty is how we live our lives, not selecting the appropriate 'nice' words.

Why should I give in to their stupid game? I think it makes Gather look absolutely ridiculous (as though many other things don't already) when my work is some of the lowest rated and total crap is rated 10. This is not a reflection on me - it's the truth about Gather and the mentality of the people they want to attract.

The former Evangelical guy made the point that he is still waiting for mainstream Christians to criticize these minority fringe wackos.

Instead, a good number follow right along believing that is what they are supposed to do. And the others say, "Well, they aren't REAL christians." Meanwhile, the damage is real and it is spreading.

This is not necessarily political, Pat. I consider it more a social problem since people who vow they are totally apolitical employ the same communication skills.

Of course, this is extremely exaggerated. It must be to deliver a punch in something so short. Or not? Any writers have a different idea? I'm planning to do something longer but went ahead with this because I want feedback before I work on the longer project.

I'm kinda hoping we can get beyond calling in the dogs to defend us, right or wrong, way of dealing with problems.
