Thanks for the comments all and yes, David, let's say some difference in perspective, but a friendly one. :) I certainly do appreciate and respect the Catholic view of Mary and have learned a lot from it. I share a very deep and profound appreciation and respect for the mother of Christ, and hold very firmly to a virgin birth which means a transcending miracle took place within her womb.

No problem David, yes, I am intentionally adding the Catholic readings this round. Sorry for the delay in getting everything posted this week, for some strange reason, I just forgot. :( I promise to be better in the future and look forward to postings that cover Catholic and Protestant stuff. Thanks for the comments! Among the many, many things I am thankful for has been those who have regularly supported this series by reading it, rating it and posting comments. It has meant a lot to know that folks have found these helpful. This actually wraps Year A, bringing the first year to an end, so thanks everyone for helping this to keep going!

Thank you for your comments ladies. Sandy, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say I don't know how the timing of events will work, or even if they will work the way we often picture them. I think Dorine makes some valid points about our worrying about figuring out the timing of things and I would go so far as to add we probably shouldn't invest too much worry or effort in figuring out the sequence either.

For generations the Jewish people spent building up the expectations of what a Messiah would be and, well at least to us Christians, they were way off the mark and look what happened as a result? We as Christians shouldn't obsess or even worry about the end time because whatever the timing, whatever the sequence of events, however they will happen, THE central message in the Scripture is that God will be with us and God will see us through.

Thank you Marilyn. I also know I don't get a lot of comments because I never find the time to post comments for other folks and apparently that is a big thing here on Gather. I would love to be able to do more, but, just too busy with lots of stuff. But I'm okay with that. The views show they are getting read, plus traffic at my blog continues to climb, so, I know there is an aydience out there and that means the world.

Thanks Dave. I agree and I hope I did not come across as saying we should not admire what many various people of the faith have accomplished. Because I don't mean to say that. I just think we need to keep in focus what I think all of them would agree on...that it was God working through them to accomplish those things. Most importantly, the hope that all of us as Christians should hang onto the possibility of embracing the great things God can accomplish through us as well.

Thanks David. I agree with you 100% and yes, indeed, there were many things Luther never stopped loving about the Church, and we Protestants often like playing up his deeds as outright rebellion, which they weren't meant to be. Its obvious his desire was to resolve things within the body of the Church. I remember when a Protestant teacher desribed fiery Luther posting his 95 theses in a shocking display by nailing it to the Church door as a challenge. In fact since the Chuch faced a main thoroughfare, the door was like a community bulletin board.

I think the continuing reformation we need to face is the bringing together of the many children of faith, not their constant division.

Andrea, probably not. I imagine if Paul were to come back today and find us reading letters he wrote so long ago, much less entire cadres of academics analyzing them, he would be shocked.
