Fred, as long as it is documented, there can be very little retribution--if you see the same person, she knows you're not a pushover and may treat you better...or at least do her job.
If you are worried about the university taking sides...that's even worse on them--talk about a lawsuit, that'd hit the national news.

Fred, I've changed tv's in waiting rooms....requested a show that was more soothing/calmer due to the fact that I was ill and that was just making me feel more ill at ease.

Its not a malpractice suit, but it is bigotry and you can report her for that. So...if some big shot white guy who went to prostitutes came in and asked for an AIDs test, ya think she'd act the same way?

First, an 11 year old is not an adult and we don't know what the back story is here.
Second, from one who worked in both adult and juvenile prisons, he should be given a chance at some type of life. Children who are raised in a nurturing environment don't just kill someone...for that matter most people just don't kill someone--there's usually some type of reason on their part(and no, I'm not saying all of the reasons make sense, but i do think we need more information before sentencing this kid as an adult).

I agree Georgiana, she personifies the worst in women--she objectifies herself(the winks, the runner photo), if someone disagrees with her or calls her on her bs, she screams sexism, she's racist, simple-minded, and intellectually lazy...and my sister thinks she's the best there is...but then sis has some of the same traits.

I don't believe in allowing my cat to roam -- he doesn't go outside of my yard, in fact, I believe people who allow their pets to roam aren't very good owners. I clean up both my cat's and my dog's business, I don't see why I should clean up my neighbor's cat's crap because he's disrespectful of my property. If you allow your animals to roam, then you are the one responsible for their death or illness, not someone else.

My dogs kill the mice much better than my cat, but then he's always thought he was better than the dogs. Lessee...where have I found dead mice?
If my cat catches it, he walks over and spits it out in front of me and then looks at me, like, "ARe you SATISFIED?!?!??" and walks away.
My dogs have left the remains in the living room, kitchen, bathroom, and once in our bed...I was so happy I found it before I went to bed!
On rat poison--many people who use it don't have pets or small children and those aren't their worries.

I think that gather has gotten to the point that AOL did with TOS--didn't take much to get TOS'd -- and the wingers would feign horror at posts and get people TOS'd--and then you'd have to state your case to some twit who had more power than payroll.
And once you're in that cycle, it just takes a bit of time to get banned...or to become mute. And that's what happens with wingers in real life also--look at what happened to some congress members at their "town halls". Shout people down, spread lies -- scream about your right to free speech and stifle any who disagree with you, in fact, orchestrate ways to stifle discussion and debate -- it worked in Nazi Germany.

Well, you do show intelligence, sarcasm, satire and humor....WTF Spartan?!?!?!?!?
You think the repugs could put up with THAT?!?!!? They'd have to think and understand nuances and stuff like that?????
We had a lot of fun with that post...maybe that was it, the repugs didn't like it that we didn't invite them to our reindeer games. Sort of like in school when they didn't get picked for the sports teams, the debate teams, the spelling bees, etc...

I do something similar--I don't visit posts that are obviously just to cause trouble or pass on republicant/con lies.
On my posts, some I'll leave on and not comment, some I respond to with, "Thanks for the points!"--those posters I hardly ever see again, others, I delete the comment--just depends on what was said. I also block people from my gather email--don't need the crap.
I agree that most of these folks are low information voters--don't know much, don't want to know much, don't want to listen, just want to vomit out hate.

"income redistribution" such as progressive taxation(think income) vs. regressive taxation(sales tax), paying more taxes for luxury items(boats--not needed for normal life) vs. food and medicine.
There is no rational thinking in telling me how to live my life and then you, the moral one, cheating on your wife(Ensign, Vitter, Craig, Sanford)--all 4 of those are so very moral and run/ran on "family values"....and then there's Newt Gingrich--sent the divorce papers to his wife while she was recovering from cancer.
And I'm a bleeding heart liberal feminist...and I shoot expert, but I don't understand why anyone would want to own a firearm and not be knowledgeable about it--like how to store it so you don't shoot you teenage son in the face when he sneaks out and tries to sneak back in(actually, my dogs didn't let him sneak out in the first place--same with the burglar alarm)
Opposition to death penalty--couple of reasons on that one--first and the biggest is that it doesn't deter anyone from committing murder and it costs taxpayers far more than a natural life sentence. Second? There have been more than one or two people released from prison, from death row who didn't get out on a technicality, but because they were innocent! I, for one, do not feel that we will ever be able to prove, without a shadow of a doubt, the guilt of someone. And before people start on the "cushiness" of prison life, take a tour through a max joint--I worked in them for 21 years, and believe me, they are not "cushy".
And it really is so stupid of us to believe in universal health care...like the rest of the industrialized world, which is one of the reasons many have not had the setbacks we have during this economic roller coaster--and some of the others? A social net that includes health care, day care, elder care and a social safety net with employment...oh yeah that "bigger government" that cons and republicants are so fearful of...but, there I go, thinking with my brain in a rational manner again....

And although this is abhorrent, there have been many areas that christianity has been just as murderous--Dr. Tiller, Sarajevo, Fred Phelps, Army of God, Nazi Germany(which was sort of a combination of occult and christianity--specially with the "see no evil" papal doctrine...among other religions).
The christians who wish death on Obama...established religions are just cults with bigger numbers...

god, you people really need to get some actual information...
First there are no cuts for Medicare--there is overhauling the donut hole that shrub and pharma put into place. In fact in the house bill, one of the first things that is taken care of is that donut hole is cut by $500 and Medicare will be able to negotiate with pharma companies for better prices, another thing that Medicare couldn't do with shrub's drug policy.
I know both Edwards and Clinton have come out and said they are willing to pay more taxes--so maybe ya'll need to ask Limpbaugh. Oh....well we know where he stands on it....or sits.
And why is it that these CEO's, many of whom have driven our economy into the ground, along with their companies(AIG, Goldman Sachs, HP to name a few) get paid so much more than CEO's in other countries--who haven't suffered as much as the US economy? Maybe instead of stock options and getting paid to cut employment, they should be judged on solid performance.
