After watching the Next Iron Chef, I have seen that okra is not just a southern vegetable -- it is used in a lot of Asian foods too. Who'd've thunk it?

Thanks! I do see his point about confession/penance, but I do believe in the Protestant view that priests are not required to receive forgiveness. When Jesus died for our sins, the veil was torn and we no longer needed an intercessor between us and God other than Jesus Christ. When priests can "give forgiveness" it exalts them to a higher level as if you need them in order to be saved. Forgiveness can be obtained any time, any place by praying to God in Jesus' name.

My all time favorite recipe is the one my mom always used - I have it posted here on Gather. Southern Love in Your Tummy: Mom's Banana Nut Bread. It is moist and yummy - and you can leave out the nuts if you want. Enjoy!

Dena - this is just awful and I am so sorry you are going through this. If the dog never left the property then I do not see why the police were even called. My husband looked up and saw that Michigan recently passed an animal cruelty law, so maybe you need to go that route.
