Watching The Day the Earth Stood Still with Keanu Reeves. I hate remakes but I'm keeping an open mind.

I agree Laurie. I think we're lucky enough to be alive in a time of great change in the world. The publishing industry is only one part of that change. Society is changing, business models are changing, every facet of life is being changed by the advances in technology.

I'm always being surprised by how things were when I was a kid {I know, hiked 3 miles to school, in the snow, up hill, both ways.} Something will catch me unawares and I'll flash on how different things used to be. When I try to see how things will change in the future I imagine it will be as different from today as today is from 1950 or 1900.

Just my opinion.

While I'm not anywhere near being pubbed, so my opinions are not as informed as many others, I believe Harlequin thought they could do whatever they choose to do and no one would mess with them. Either that or they thought no one would notice their vulture-like stance.

Whatever their thinking, I think they made the biggest boo-boo ever made by a large company in full glare of daylight. It's to laugh. Shame on them.

I just finished reading Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides. It was fabulous. I highly recommend it.

Jamie, you pointed up the diff clearly. And yes, the focus of the story is the mirror's capability. The mirror is a character in itself.

A question for all you loverly peoples. I'm thinking of a name for my current WIP on Nano. I'm using Reflections of Eternity and wondering if Reflections on Eternity would be better. The story is a paranormal centering on a mirror. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

My kids, about your age Jamie, were in school so I had the time to become Pacman champ. I learned the route and turned the score often. They got back at me though, becoming masters of whatever nintendo game we had later on.

But I'm still addicted to playing games. LOL Now they're too busy to play as much and I'm again able to play at will. Mwwuuuuaaahhhhh

My writing has fallen off this week. I've been able to add to my Nano WIP a few days, small word counts. But I'm all right with that. I learned somethings I needed to KNOW and not just know. Once you really take a lesson in, really know it for yourself it's valuable and I've done that.

I have lots of hope for this WIP and solid plans to finish it.

Pat, after your tour is finished... you will need the creative feelings from writing but you don't need to jump into it. You deserve a rest but I predict that soon your typing fingers will begin itching for a story. ;o)

My kids had a thingy from Radio Shack BEFORE we got that first Atari. And I loved Atari as much as the boys did. ;o)
