Marinela, I think you know I lost my only daughter, injured and in a vegetative state in 2000, and passed away in 2003. She was 39 when she was hurt, and 42 when she passed away. She told me all her life, even as a child that she had lived before, and wrote stories about it, and also told me she would not live to be old, that always made me feel a bit upset, because I have some psychic ability in me and a lot in our family. She has come to me in many dreams, to let me know she is all right, I have written a lot of them on Gather, and she has guided my husband after he passed away to see me too, but this is what your story reminds me of mostly, and I know it sounds silly, and don't even know how much I believe it myself, but a couple of years before she was injured in the car accident that took her life, she said suddenly, next time I come back, I want to come
back as a red male cat, neutered , so I can not have babies , be loved all the time with no worries and someone to feed me and do the work to clean up after me. I laughed at that statement. She passed away in 2003, and her son came to live with me, he was 14, and our cat had just died a couple months before, he was very old. I said no more cats, I was having my hair done, and Billy was wandering around the mall while he waited.and he ran up to me and said Grannie, you have to come look at something with me, so when I was done, he took me down to the pet store, and I said oh no you don't
but we went in and there was a little cage with kittens in it, all from the same litter, all were gray striped except for this one little red one, who sat in the back until it saw Billy
and then stuck its paw out at him, and meowed loudly, of course I thought it was cute,
but said no cats.. We had lunch, and he said lets go look just one more time before we go home, and I agreed, and the kitten was quite until Billy came near and he put his paw out again, and of course the sales lady said do you want to hold him? .the kitten was only 11 weeks old, and it had a collar on it with the number 29 on it, and that was May 29 , my husbands birthday, and we said what is the 29 for and she said it was the 29th cat they had gotten in for sale. Well, the price was 100.00, nothing special about him, but he had all his shots, etc., and a free coupon came with him for follow ups, so I knew my husband was missing his cat, so we brought him home. My husband had been very
depressed after our daughter was hurt, and this kitten put a smile in his eyes that had been missing for a lone time, and he said, how did you know I always wanted a red cat.
Well, now, I don't believe this is my daughter in any way, but I do believe she guided us to find him. This kitten shared his love between the three of us, he would sit on me for awhile, then go to my husband and do the same kneading thing to him, and love us, and Billy, he slept with my husband for his naps and between us at night. He is quiet, he sleeps all day, and enjoys his sunny spots, he is now my companion and sleeps on my bed with me at night, and if he thinks I am sleeping to late, he makes some effort to wake me, and if I am not well, he doesn't leave my side. I often pet him, as he is always near to me, and say Thank you Tracey, for I think she sent this joy to us to remind us that she is around us. I hope this doesn't seem too far a stretch, but it is how I feel, I do believe we are all connected in the Universe, and I see my loved ones often which makes life bearable for me. Wonderful story about you and your friend, and I find it to be no coincidence either, thank you for sharing it.
