Richard, that was exactly Sal's problem in the book -- she was too busy eating to pay attention to anything else. And then of course at the end she has no berries left at all.

Thanks for the interesting info, Risa. That explains why it's thick but still lowfat -- the way it pours feels like it is surely quite fatty.

Nick, these muffins look delicious, but they would be perfect, in my humble opinion, if they had chocolate chips! There is absolutely nothing like a chocolate-chip-banana muffin. Absolute divinity.

Looks delicious! You say to use "homemade caramel" for the sauce -- do you have a suggestion for the best way to make that? I've made various caramels and caramel sauces, but am not sure what type of thing you are using. . .
