I saw Rachel Maddow report this last night and she did a great job of pointing out what a efwad Hoekstra is.

And in my email this morning, I find a message from General Wesley Clark with the subject line: Extremists. Here's an exerpt:

Tea party radicals and greedy Republicans are busy raising millions of dollars to attack courageous Democrats who are fighting for health care reform, financial reform and the future of middle class America.

These extreme elements in the GOP are organized and resolute. And they are focused on just one thing: taking America back to the bad old days of George W. Bush.

We can't let that happen. And, I'm asking you to stand with me and my fellow Democrats against the radicals who have taken control of the Republican Party.

We have less than 48 hours to make the December 31st FEC fundraising deadline the most successful one of the year.

It has the same sense of urgency. They MUST have money by tomorrow night! Scare tactics are scare tactics, I don't care who is using them.

Bong? Did someone say, "bong"? I say 0-10 just to irritate people. If I have to vote for either of Dame's suggestions, I go for 20-10 but only because I'm a fan of the old cartoon "Sealab 20-20" and its demented sequel "Sealab 20-21". Hanna-Barbera is responsible for that little bit of indoctrination.

I cried to go home every day, but we weren't even allowed to call. No phones available to kids. I just started "getting lost" on my way from the campsite I was assigned to the mess hall or wherever I was supposed to be.

Holly, it took a while for the sanity to gel.

Dear Batshite Bachman-
The proper way to slit your wrists is to find a vein and slash upward toward the elbow with a sharp razor blade. You will feel better if you lie back in a bathtub full of warm water while you do this. Jesus will take care of you!

I do believe they fear unions more than terrrorist.

I once belonged to a union. They will protect your job if you are accused of breaking the rules, codes, ethics, or whatever. They will make sure you have a hearing with representation. But if you are found to be in the wrong, you are gone.

Another fact they're totally overlooking - managers and administrators CAN NOT be unionized. They can bring in Rambo to oversee the TSA, but as long as he's the head of it, he can't join a union.

From what I've read, the TSA workers are not that well paid. They are doing a wildly unpopular job. Who wants to go to work when all you hear is how much you suck?

How are TSA agents trained? How much are they paid? Are they people who are truly interested in law enforcement or just people who want a secure job and will do the minimum to keep it?

Do the agents who do a good job get recognized for their good work?

I don't travel. Haven't been on a plane in over 20 years. I used to think it would be marvelous to go places, but now it seems like a hassle. There doesn't seem to be much common sense applied to the procedures designed to keep people safe.

Good to know the same technique I've used to get alcohol into rock concerts would work if I wanted to take my own brand on a plane. Yes, the bosom is a great place to hid contraband.

I think I just threw up in my head a little bit. My grandma used to try to make us eat a bite of pork and sauerkraut each year. Yuck! She wasn't even German. I think she picked up the tradition when she was a teen and worked in Cincinnati.

My only new year tradition is to wake up and not throw up.
