I do want to remind you that to participate in the program outlined above, you must write an article and submit it to the group. Unfortunately, we cannot accept comments as it would not be possible to feature them on the Gather home page. If you want to enter, please write an article with your resolution and why you have set the goal for the new year. We will start posting the winners on January 1.

Thanks for the question about the writers. Gather felt that the writers for the "Election 2006" effort did a great job of rallying great conversation about the election. To continue the dialog, we asked our Correspondents to continue contributing their insights and local perspective in the re-christened "Politics on Gather" Group. As we move into 2007, we expect to have other opportunitie in several content areas for Gather members to contribute in this more deliberate manner, so stay tuned!

Walking seems most appropriate unless you have another way of getting around the house :).

We try our hardest to be inclusive, but not every question lends itself to having an "other" category. "Staying Home" would have been a good choice.

Kevin has most of that right - anyone can "Report" an article to Gather's Editorial Team, and we review the contents to determine further action. If an article has been wrongly flagged, we release it. If it is unclear why it was flagged, we will investigate with the appropriate community members (the author and the person who flagged it). Until we resolve the issue, the article remains flagged so that it does not show up unless a reader has the "Permalink" to the article.

You are right, the Supreme Court did not rule than all tribunals are illegal. But they did rule that the military order to establish commissions to investigate these individuals in particular had not been requested properly, were not necessary, and therefore overstepped executive bounds. The Bush Admisistration sought to proceed without the due process of a court martial or specically request special proceedings.

Editor's note: The testing being recommended is to be added to a standard battery of tests. However, the recommendation does not make the test mandatory. By making it routine, the goal is to get people beyond typical high risk groups to get tested.
