Thankyou everyone for your congratulations. I was rather excited and surprised to see my entry won a place. All of the entries were wonderful to read .. it must have been such a difficult decision.

I am simply thrilled. It has brightened me up somewhat too after being unwell with a bad bout of the flu and a bad back (siciatica) so I found it difficult to sit for any period of time in front of my pc. for the last few weeks.

The second part to Buddy's story is still the draft folder and I plan to publish it soon for anyone interested in seeing what our little tiger has been up to lately.

Thank you so much all for your wonderful comments. This is my first attempt at writing something as a children's story from a dogs point of view. I'm glad you all enjoyed it. I'm still refining it a little but am happy with the story line.

There is still another 1 or perhaps 2 parts to go. Buddy certainly does keep me on my toes with my camera in hand. He is a very active and curious dog I have discovered and as I am learning photography at the moment, I can't help myself taking lots of photos of him and the funny little antics he gets up to. ?

Happy to see you writing something here again Tonia .. I check my emails every morning .. hoping to see that you had posted in Gather. Glad things are settling down with Debs brother and he is on the road to recovery. He is in very good hands.

You have given yourself the best advice when you stated.......

"I need to gain a little more control and make sure there is room for the things that feed my soul."

..... this is so true and it does help one cope better through troubled times. Don't forget to feed your soul Tonia ....to write and share about what's on your mind and happening in your life. .. moral support through friends on Gather and bit of a sounding board for yourself too. Hope to see you around here a bit more again .. Much love and hugz to you both.

Hey chris and amy .. don't you just hate when your eyeliner runs .. sorry bout that .. but hope you enjoyed reading a little part of my life. My boys (now grown up) mean the world to me .. as you can problably tell .. and I am posting a lot of these articles for them too .. oneday when they see what things their mum has has been up to ... they will surely know that I wanted to let the world know how much I love and treasure them.

I too am quite nocturnal .. It is 6pm here is the land of oz .. and I'm taking time out now to enjoy my dinner of corned beef with veg that Peter has cooked for me. (I am a lucky girl to have a man who cooks wonderful meals for me :) Thanks Liz .. catch up again soon :)

Nothin wrong with being a tomboy Liz .. I have been one all my life I feel and have had to improvise on lots of occassions particularly when I didn't have a handyman around to do it for me .. good luck and I would love to see a photo of it when you get around to making it. I will dig around for a photo of my old handmade tripod in the meantime .. might give you a hint or two. Cheers

Liz .. if you have someone handy with hammer, a few nails and screws you can always make one out of wood and twine .. using your imagination can be a cost saver sometimes :)
My first tripod was a homemade job .. it didn't have visual appeal but it did the job until I could afford to buy one :)
