Walter - I'm sorry; I'm brand new to gather and I'm having trouble trying to figure out how to publish to your group ... I went back in to edit the article and selected publish to caffeparadiso, and it said that it was a moderated group and had to be accepted ... is this how you're supposed to publish to a specific group or is there another way?

To be honest, I haven't really considered taking this anywhere yet ... I work part-time at Starbucks; and satirizing the atmosphere some of the customers bring with them struck me randomly the other day as a perfect metaphor for irrational religious zealotry.

Now that you mentioned the possibility, though, I feel like I might very well be able to become more attached to dear Roger. But to answer your question, it was written as a stand-alone piece.

I really, really like this picture. It's oddly inspiring. If you brightened it and/or cleaned up the contrast, it would be stunning.

completely accidental - the camera in the picture took it. Sleeping over with a friend; and we were just lounging around all morning; messing around with my new camera ... took this looking into a random mirror from my vanity whose hinges had broken; so it was sitting on the ground. I love it for some reason.

haha, wow - I'm just now realizing the connotations implied by the caption. They were completely unintentional; I didn't want this photo to generate sexual associations at all ... I intended the quote to evoke the brevity and relative meaninglessness of life in contrast to how such postmodern, selfish woes can often be forgotten in ephemeral, happy moments like the one I tried to capture here. My apologies =)

omg - this is a beautifully written poem ... almost made me cry, haha. wow. Written with intent for the jaded, postmodern female audience? Your word choices and combinations are incredibly emotionally evocative. every girl in the Western world can relate to this. Gorgeous.

I absolutely despise the phrase, "it was an accident that didn't have to happen." I whole-heartedly support its expulsion from the English language.

great article; they're all so true. cracked me up, haha - especially the quote/anecdote you have for the "dawg" entry. That's completely horrific.
