Every Sunday School has at least one "project": food for Chinese peasants, medicine for Indian children, Christmas presents for the poor...

This comment was removed from an especially ridiculous article in which Robert "argued" that the ACLU ought to defend a vigilante murderer in Texas.

My earlier comment indicated that it was not the function of the ACLU to "keep things peaceful", which Robert had asserted.

You still don't have a clue, Robert.

The ACLU is not a public relations firm or a security company to"help keep things peaceful".

And, the ACLU does not defend criminal cases unless questions of constitutional law and the Bill of Rights are at stake.

Where, in this case, is there a question of constitutional rights?

Angry, trigger-happy man applies vigilante justice to robbers who are fleeing.

Sounds cruel and cowardly, but probably defensible in Texas.

His standard at that time was, "you don't have a clue" is abusive.

"Dinner" is the big meal, whether at noon or evening.

If the big meal is at noon, then one has "supper" in the evening.

If the big meal is in the evening, then the noon meal is "lunch".

If you had read the comment stream instead of engaging in your usual knee-jerk ranting, Don B., you would not see any of the things abolut which you complain irrationally.

The only criticism of Christians begins. "Some Christians..." and that is entirely true.

The verse does have (as Charles notes) a much less sinister, even funny, application when read accurately.

It is distressing to see Evangelical Christian faith in America (which has been a progressive force for many social goods - like the abolition of slavery) become distorted by the machinations of political operatives and other wackos.
