jim k, unfortunately (or fortunately!) i own a web 2.0 marketing & pr firm. as such i need a lot of muscle -- lots of multi-media intense files. thanks for reminding me of the "think different" campaign. true brilliance.

jeff, thanks for confirming what i had feared -- two years until verizon gets it. a real bummer. i am a verizon fan and think their network rules. either give up good coverage and get the iphone now or have tom riding my bus for the next two years. tough decision. hahaha!

tom, you better beware! i have four dogs. although i think i want to be your dog. the iphone timing is a struggle. i am locked into verizon and by locked i mean all my employees too. i have to find a way to transition everyone over while minimizing expenses. having me and g on the iphone will create added expenses for biz calls and texts to employees. never mind the fact that it wouldn't be fair.when the heck is verizon getting the iphone?!

francesca, i am getting the sense from everyone i talk to that they too feel like they lost a friend. from the lady selling treasures at the flea market to the young man working at the local convenience store. what a tribut to who Tim was and everyone he touched.

pam, i think you are so right. nobody will fill his shoes. big loss for nbc and all his fans. hopefully they will find someone who emodies the same spirit tim did -- tough but fair.

carol, i totally appreciate your insight and agree 100%. Tim always soared but never at the expense of others. I have been a fan of CNN for years, but I am now so turned off by the ridiculous show-boating rants of people like Lou Dobbs that i find myself changing the channel more often than not.
