Laura, sorry it's taken me so long to comment.
I agree completely. I've had heated discussions about it, especially with my children's grandmother. I am quite partial to the fantasy world.
It's sad that some parents deny their children such an extraordinary literary experience and encourage them to be intolerant of other beliefs, in the process.
Besides, HP has nothing to do with religion. It's purely fantasy and imagination, with real issues blended in. I think they call that... "ENTERTAINMENT"!!!!

Die Hard wouldn't be Die Hard with out Bruce Willis. I've loved these movie's since the first. Just wish they could get him and Alan back on the screen together. The two extremes would be very exciting. Again!!! ;)
I loved this movie almost as much as the first...but not quite. Weren't any of you disappointed with the signature line in this one. Oh well...I'm sure the DVD will fix that...K

I suppose they need to turn that around on them selves. I'm not worried about what I search for, but many times I have searched for innocent subjects and been directed to not so innocent content, even with filters on.

I found my self wondering what purpose some of the deaths in DH served for the story. But I understand that it was a war and there isn't always a reason why someone great dies.

Great advise. It's all wrapped up in one place, instead of spanned over several books about characters. I'm an avid reader, and I tend to gloss over names don't fit well or I can't pronounce. Imagine reading and just humming the syllables in your head. You don't connect. I hate it when a characters name doesn't fit his appearance, and they seem detached from the story.

Excellent. I have been weighing that issue my self. And I will admit I considered. But I was reluctant. I would love to publish a book. But it's not why I write, and I am too self conscious to write something to be published, without a professional critique. I would prefer an Agent. But I'm not near that stage yet....Thanks

I can carry on conversations with Don in his sleep, but you don't know he's asleep. He sit up, walks around, his eyes are open. (I stay up late) I try to talk to him about things that need to be done, or things I want to do or buy, and he will talk with me, seeming more alert, than when he's awake. But in the morning, if I remind him of our conversation, he swears I dreamed it.
I love the name Kyleigh - My daughter is Ashleigh.

I very much enjoyed your review. I found the book satisfying, but I felt left out of the loop in the end (19 years later). I wanted to know what happened to all my favorite Characters that lived. Many I wish hadn't died. I kept my faith in Snape through out the series, and I was sure he would have to die, but I wasn't satisfied with the way he died. I don't think Lupin should have died nor Tonks, it didn't play any crucial part to the story or provide any insight for Harry. There was just no reason for them to die. It would have been more believable for Arthur Weasly to die, (don't get me wrong, I liked him tremendously,) But I believe that would have given Depth to Ron and Harry's relationship, seeing as Ron never truely understood the loss of a parent. The loss of a brother is too depressing even for this series. And there was no point to it. Perhaps it was written in as a shock factor only, because I saw no other reason for it.
I think if children grew with the story, they will understand the loss presented in the books, But younger audiences may not. My Children Love the movies, but can't get through the books. But they are 10 & 13. Perhaps If I let them read one book a year, they could relate. They just missed the whole "growing up" thing.

I really liked Dobby, I wish he hadn't died. It just didn't seem right. The whole book was quite emotional, I think.

I loved this book, mostly because I was waiting to prove to my friends that Snape was good. Other than Harry, Ron, and Harmone, Snape was my favorite character, there was so much depth to him, and I knew there was a reason Dumbledore trusted him, since it was never specified before. I was confident in Snape. I do wish we could findout more about the character's futures. I'm just depressed it's all over, the end.....

It's funny, because I felt like I was reading my own story, Looking at all those notebooks, knowing that, when I finally sort through the chaos, I will have to throw out some of my babies (ideas). So I can move on...
