William shouldn't leave unless he wants to. He's done nothing wrong, as he's done nothing many others haven't done, and he is clear about the origination of his postings. Unbelievable! First, the government and certain groups are taking away all our rights, now Gather. Hmph!

Hybrids are also a long-term solution. I believe they said it takes about 13 years to recoup the cost of the vehicle in gas savings. Most people can't afford to buy them. Does someone out there really own a Humvee, a Viper, and an RV??!! Why would you want to use these gas guzzlers at a time like this? Not caring is one of the main reasons for the inflated prices. If the people who are wealthy and uneffected would think about those who are not wealthy and are effected, then maybe we would get somewhere. Many politicians and folks with connections have their pockets lined with oil money. Why would they want to change the way things are going? It's called greed. My family of 4 is better off than many out there, but we are certainly not "well-off" by any means. For a long time now, we have only been able to travel where necessary - work, church, errands. We always try to combine our errands and shopping into as few trips as possible. Now, we can't even afford to take our planned vacation, since gas shot up. We have very little debt, yet we barely get by. We have very modest living accomodations. We rarely eat out and buy secondhand for many things. There's not much more we could sacrifice in our lives. And I don't think we should have to. We are being robbed of our rights and liberties, not just where gas is concerned but in other areas as well. I don't really know who to blame. I just wish someone would take a stand for America and do what's right for a change.
