Virgins certainly are a commodity. Just the other day I wanted to summon a fiend from the netherworld to smite a Project Manager that just does not understand software as well as he thinks he does. Unable to locate a virgin to complete the ritual, I had to fall back to sending some very unprofessional messages from his unlocked laptop.

I was a late bloomer myself. To me it was an extreme source of embarrassment and not pride. When it finally happened I viewed it so much as a huge relief that I didn't focus enough on the enjoyment of the moment.

I eat too much junk food. I've been really good about not eating as much in the last month but it's a constant battle. On the good side, I get tons of exercise, don't drink or smoke.

I think one of the other aspects that works against Internet Dating is that there are so many options that you start to look for reasons to pass people over. 200 years ago, your dating pool was the 50 guys single guys that lived near you. One of them fit, you fell in love and that was it. But with 1000 different dating options a click away it's easy to fall into the trap of, "he/she doesn't sound perfect, I'll keep looking..."

And about your goal of bagging a few 14ers? Let me just say that's different in Colorado. Comparing the virtues or rigid frame backpacks against soft frame or discussing the routes up the local peaks is practically foreplay here!

Keep looking, he's out there and probably just as frustrated in trying to find you.

To see your father do something so brave in front of his son is a life defining moment. You can talk and talk to kids about right and wrong, but to witness something like that sets the point home for life.

Maybe it's because I'm a guy, or maybe I'm heartless, but those first months were very hard. I felt like I was losing it and then along came that first smile. That gave me the strength to keep going. I love my boys dearly, but I enjoyed fatherhood more once I could actually do things and meaningfully interact with them.

Your painting is beautiful and a great tribute to how you and your friend added a sparkle of joy to a difficult event. I hope you don't mind the distraction, but I'd like to pass along a story of my own.

My mom had a number of miscarriages including one that was near term. She got the name Marie and has a little gravestone in a small cemetery in Wyoming. Her last pregnancy was also difficult and the doctor warned her to be prepared for the worst. Late in the pregnancy, she told my dad that we all had to go to spend Saturday in the mountains. My father explained that this was a bad idea because of the lateness of the pregnancy and complications. Mom agreed that it was a strange idea but that is still exactly what they were going to do. So they made a picnic lunch, packed up my sister and grandmother and drove up to a beautiful alpine meadow near the base of Mount Rainier. My mom took her shoes off, walked through the frigid creek on this warm June day and was at peace. I think I was born two or three days later.

I probably won't see the movies, but I think it's cool how healthy everyone looked. No wasting diseases at work in this history! And, oh, the white, white smiles. I think our ancient ancestors had great dental hygiene.

Glad you are doing better now. There are certain chemicals that your brain is just not making in sufficient quantities. What makes it hard is the delay between when you stop taking them and when catastrophe occurs. When I wore glasses, I would never drive without glasses because it was obvious that I needed them. But with interrupted medication there is a decline that is often hard for the taker to see. Please keep taking them!

Give yourself a goal. That really motivates me to not miss my workouts. Pick a 5k race in your area. You can walk or run, depending on your desires.
