HAWTHORNE just ate my article and I am PISSED RIGHT OFF.

And yes I DO know that sometimes if you hit BACK it will still be there and NO IT WASN'T ...so unless you want me to come right through the Internet and BITE you I suggest you avoid suggesting it.

I had written a big long rant about my very annoying afternoon ....and clicked on SAVE AS DRAFT and HAWTHORNE ate it. And yes, I KNOW better than to trust Gather.... I swear they have it built in .... if you remember to copy it all before you post, it doesn't bother stealing it...but on the rare occasion that you forget to do that first it BITES YOU IN THE ARSE.

BLUDDY HELL!!!! I am soooooooooooooooooo frustrated! 

Why do I bother?

It hasnt messed with me much except so slow getting around. But last August when they first started changing it ate about 400 comments. When I was so sick and ready to throw my hands up during Christmas , went to hospital in January. they threw all the comments back into my comment box. That is what keeps me so far behind.

I do work hard trying to get back to all my connections. If they think enough of me to comment I try to pay them the same respect. Just a little slow these days.

It did eat one of my good articles. Which are few for me. By the way, tell Lynn she may be prettier but I have the best dress. Tracy wants one too.

I'd beat on my own computer if it would help ...but since I've no doubt it's GATHER that can't be bothered to fix their known problems and I can't afford to fly down there just to take a hammer to THEIR computers....

I think you have a good idea -- write your article on wordpress first, then copy it here. I don't trust either site, so I always do the article in word.

UGH! Been there. I actually haven't been doing much on here lately since I had the problem with the invites.

got training first week of September, Grems... then classes start the week after

Job is working out really well for him ... he's a bit worried about the exams for his certifications, but he'll do alright... and if not, he can do them again

That's the main reason I hardly ever 'post' anything. I get these ideas and try to put them into words that others might be willing to read but it's such a pain to post articles and I want to add pictures but can't figure out how to get them into my articles so I just give up before I even start...

The chance of Gather eating your article is a strong correlation with how much time you spend writing it.
I've started typing everything in notepad/wordpad/word (whichever I click first) before copying to the editor. It took me over two hours the other day to upload all my photos for my photo essay because gather kept eating them :\

That's how I fell out of love with Vista (OK, I faked the orgasms). I'd been reworking one of my favorite novels and had reworked about 10 chapters and had written 2 new ones (backing up frequently). Then, Vista crashed MS Word and not just lost the file but ERASED IT FROM THE DISK.

Ever tried to reconstruct 10 chapters of changes and then rebuild two more? When you were thoroughly torqued? I don't recommend it.

I do everything on my word processor and save it there, so if gather eats it which has happened, I have to just copy and paste it again. I am getting so I save as a draft every step of the way, after tabs, after groups and before I push share or whatever, and then it is uaually there, I hate it when I have to do all the groups again. they take longer than to write it, Gather is so slow., sorry you are upset Flit,

Damn! That's really annoying! You know what I think? I think we should start adding hash marks to our icons to represent how many articles/comments Gather has eaten! That would be pretty cool ... don't you think? At least it would make losing it a wee bit less frustrating. I lost an article the other day, too, and I know better than to just hit "save". Sigh. And that time the BACK button didn't work for me, either. It was just as well ... it was a nasty rant about someone and probably should not have hit the Internet.

It really hates me. When they changed everything I lost about 5 articles that I put a lot of time into plus a few short ones.
