Gather has new navigation options and some terminology changes. Here's a brief summary of the latest updates.
Terminology Updates
We've changed some of the terminology on Gather, including these terms:
• Articles are now called "posts"
• Images are now called "photos"
• Publish is now called "share"
• Features are now called "Gather Picks"
None of the capabilities associated with these features has been altered, so you should be able to share your posts, photos, and videos taking advantage of the same permissions and controls as before the release.
Navigation Changes
We've made a few key changes to the primary site navigation.
First, the general site navigation has been simplified to highlight navigation into your My Gather page (for members), and to new People, Groups, and Explore landing pages. From each of the new landing pages, you can access the recent and ranked lists that were formerly part of the site's secondary navigation. Under the Explore navigation option, you can also directly access lists of posts, photos, and videos that have been shared on Gather, and the share functionality (applicable to Gather members).

Features that are available to members only, including Invite, Share, and Mail, are now accessible from your My Gather page. You will also find a link to invite friends at the top of the right-hand column on the People landing page and one to share on the Explore landing page, if you are signed in.
