Bonus Spells for Karma

 Thanksgiving is over, but the Holiday season is in full swing.  And with all of the parties, family gatherings, luncheons, and holiday dinners going on, we've all got a bit of food on the brain.  And so we turn our attention to the traveling spellcaster that wants to travel light, but not starve.  We decided to cook up some food related spells for Karma.  Bon Appetit!

Sustenance (11 pts)

Area of effect:  1 lb of food (1 pt)

Range:  Touch (consumption) (0 pt)

Duration:  Instant (1 pt)

Creation Impact  (1 pt)

This spell brings into existence a pound of a bread like, edible substance.  The amount of food produced is enough to feed 4 normal-sized humanoids, 8 small (30 lb or less) humanoids, or one large (500-1000 lb) humanoid.  The food is bland, but filling, and provides enough sustenance to fill the humanoid's dietary needs for one day.  Food created with this spell spoils after one hour.

 Well, that is a useful, but not exactly exciting, spell.  But since it only requires 11 pts, perhaps you may want to play around with some variations on the theme?

This spell brings into existence a pound of a bread like, edible substance.  The amount of food produced is enough to feed 4 normal-sized humanoids, 8 small (30 lb or less) humanoids, or one large (500-1000 lb) humanoid.  The food is bland, but filling, and provides enough sustenance to fill the humanoid's dietary needs for one day.  It also heals 1 DT of damage.  Food created with this spell spoils after one hour.

Usually, the Healing impact would heal 5 DT per element, but since the food created is shareable between multiple people, and because nobody wants to calculate the math of dividing 5 DT by the number of people eating, we chose to simplify it by simply healing 1 DT per each person.  The ST may allow the Healing Loaf to heal the full 5 DT per person, but we would suggest requiring more points in the Healing impact before doing so).

This spell brings into existence two pounds of sweet, baked treats (cookies, sweet rolls, cupcakes, etc).  The amount of food produced is enough to feed 13 normal-sized or small sized humanoids, or two large (500-1000 lb) humanoids.  The treats are not only tasty, but also filling, and provide enough sustenance to fill the humanoid's dietary needs for one day.  Baked goods created with this spell spoil after two hours.

 Hey!  That's more like it!  I always knew I could survive on brownies and chocolate cake!

This spell brings into existence two pounds of sweet, baked treats (cookies, sweet rolls, cupcakes, etc).  The treats appear to be normal variety baked goods.  Those that eat the treats must succeed at an opposed Mental Health check versus the caster's magic check.  If the check fails, the target becomes more amicable toward the caster, and is more inclined to agree with the caster's ideas or requests.  The caster gains a +1 bonus to Leadership, Manipulation, or Presence checks for three minutes.  Consuming multiple treats does not stack the bonus or duration.

 The confections remain potent for one hour, after which the magic fades and they become normal pastries. 

 Well, we always knew the way to a man's heart is through his stomach!  Or whip a batch of these up before the next corporate meeting and then ask the board for a bigger budget!

All of these spells are built on 20 pts or less, so they can be used by starting characters that meet the minimum requirements.
