Chance of Obama Deportation

October 20, 2008 11:41 PM EDT (Updated: October 21, 2008 01:36 AM EDT)

I said I wasn't going to write this, but I can't resist. Phil Berg has been retained by  African Press International (API) to release the telephone tapes between Michelle Obama and the editor of API where she says that her husband was born in Hawaii, but was adopted by his Indonesian father, making him a naturalized, but not natural born citizen.

This link came directly from Berg's assistant, Citizen Wells' blog site which can be found here. The tapes are supposed to be released tomorrow. As Berg notes, (48th comment) "If Obama's wife, Michelle's version is correct, she confirms what I alleged, that Obama was either 'adopted' or 'acknowledged' by his step-father, Lolo Soetoro. Mrs. Obama states Obama was 'adopted.' The adoption means that when Obama returned to the United States, if he came through U.S. Immigration, Obama would only be "naturalized" and therefore ineligible to be President. If Obama did not go through U.S. Immigration, he would be an illegal alien and therefore not only be ineligible to be President, but also ineligible to be U.S. Senator from Illinois and subject to deportation."

Berg, a Democrat and Clinton supporter, who has a pending lawsuit in a PA federal court requiring Obama to produce proof of his legal US citizenship, has also been retained by API to handle any litigation that may result in the release of the tapes. One major network will be chosen to air these tapes unedited.

As you'll see, if you read the first linked article, the media in the US is as dirty and filthy in all of these dealings as anyone would expect. Although API has not yet selected a news station to air the tapes, API has three, signed, unilateral agreements from networks that claim to have been given the green light to release the tapes, also telling people that they have the agreement with API to do so. Well, I guess we can't blame their greed too much this time, since it is HUGE news.

Sure seems so, John! Thanks for responding here. As you see, I've beefed this up quite a bit since you read and commented. Another very interesting link is here.

I see you've resonded to the answer on the other post. I won't dignify it with an answer, since none of the questions I posed were addressed. That people will not see that this case goes far beyond Obama's eligibility to the issue of challenging the fiber of our country, the US Constitution, is irreverent and anarchical, especially since those we count on to uphold that law are the very ones who would discard it at a moment's notice for personal gain. For those who do see it and condone it, I can't find a word that would express the visceral disgust that their existence evokes in me.

Yes, Jerry, understatedly.

Obama and DNC admit all allegations, Philip J Berg...

I guess they think they are even above the law in responding in time to the request for admissions within the 30 day time period. They're just above it all, as the demons that ride in the air on their wings of contempt and deception.

Help me, Sue...wouldn't "were posed" be correct, in this case, because there was more than one question?

I'm learning, and would truly like to know.

No, Mark-John, the prepositional phrase, "of the questions," could be removed from the sentence. The sentence's subject is none. the predicate is was. The subject and predicate must agree. Since none is a singular subject, the predicate must also be singular. Take the word none, which means not one and rewrite the sentence without the unnecessary prepositional phrase, and you have Not one posed was addressed. You wouldn't say Not one posed were addressed. You see?

Sue, he's married to an American citizen so they can't deport him, right? I admit I'm not really up on that kind of stuff but I think you can marry an American citizen and stay in this country. I don't care if he stays here in America. I don't want him to be president because of his past and because I don't support the majority of his policies.

Lera, I quite agree about your point. Most of those who do not support him, do NOT merely because of his intentions, and his ideologies.

If he wants to hang around and assist in the further destruction of Chicago, he can "knock himself out."

Well, Lera, as I understand this, and I could be wrong, but I do business with a lot of people who are H1-B Visa candidates who are here on a work visa. I did know one in the past who married an American woman, but as I remember it, this did not make him an American citizen. I rmember him awaiting green card status for which he had applied, so marrying the woman did not make him a citizen automatically. The reason I remember was because I had him out on a contract position that was about to expire, and had another position that would have been perfect for his background and experience, but it was a permanent positon in a company that would not accept an employee without a green card or US citizenship status, and so he was unable to qualify for it even though he was married to an American. The laws could have changed since then, too, but I doubt Berg would have said that if he knew it to be otherwise.

Hi Sue-----

I thought it was interesting that I went to the websites of every major news source (even Fox!) and did a search for Philiip Berg on every site, and not one of them even had even the tiniest news story anywhere.
Of course, I never expected to find anything at CNN, CBS, ABC, or any of the other "impartial and unbiased" liberal news sources, but I thought sure that Fox would have at least something on it.

Berf, I'm waiting to see updates from Berg on this. The tapes are supposed to be released to him, but he still has to review them and it hasn't yet been determined which news group will get the exclusive story, so you won't see it in the major media today.

I spent a little time this morning perusing the Gather home page and profile of one Mariah W. ... and fount that person to be a Gather member since only Oct. 6 2008 ... which leads me to believe that :

In matters of such importance as this one in question, the validity of the legality of the person seeking the office of the supposed highest standing in the entire world ... there are many potential ramifications and possible subterfuges (conspiracies) that would be taking place ...

The stakes are so high that there is nothing that some folks will not do to assure their own aims and desires are met ... in fact the most intelligent minds that money can buy would be deeply involved ... deeply ... meaning to the degree that you and I could not even imagine ...

I have spent all morning on the links provided here by Sue and find it all fascinating to say the least ... because I have been very interested in these "end times" for a long while now, I have many potential sources and reasons in mind for such activities such as these ... I am aware that those who think less deeply about all of this do so because they have little interest and/or a lack of intelligence which would give them such interest ... it is all too easy to just pick "a side" and support it with words of opinion as most seem to do ... such as the couple of "supporters" of Sue's, mentioned recently in this very thread ...

But never the less, I commend Sue for her diligence in pursuing this as it seems very valid in it's potentials ... which may be far more involved with reasoning and intended results than what comes to mind for most of us ... when one gets into conspiracies such as this, there is usually much more going on than readily comes to mind ... there is no end to the depth of what may well be behind all of this and to what the actual intended results are meant to be ...

Thanks for the interest and digging Sue ... at first I thought it was all just sour grapes conspiracy theory by the right-wing apologists ... but there sure seems to be so much more to it ... possibly even more than even you suspect ...

Oh yes ... Mariah ... I am not saying that she is ... but in things this involved the POWERS behind it all will go to any length to affect public opinions and confuse (obfuscate) the facts to divert interest down paths better suited to their interests ... they do in fact employ many people to comment on blog sites for that very purpose ... it is all just that important to those who seek to control the whole world ... think about it !

African Press International has a strong editorial board and large team of 19 international correspondents and reporters. They have been in business for two years promoting Africa-first causes around the world, based in Norway and the United Kingdom. This is not a right-wing website or even a news organization focused on the U.S. election.

Jerry, thanks for the wonderful comment. I haven't published all I've written on this subject here because it's pretty futile to get many to see it the way I do. To me, it's so much more a constitutional issue that also involves the worst of evil and corruption in high places of government. The very people who are supposed to safeguard our law are the ones breaking it, hiding behind it and subjugating it. There's a total breakdown of a civil society and this case exeplifies it. It reminds me of the fall of the Roman Empire.

Sue---

With all the research you've done, I'm sure you've probably already read this before, but doesn't the state residency law of Hawaii at the time of Obama's birth come into play somewhere in this case??

Just in case you haven't read about it, here's a website that discusses what I'm talking about

Yes, Berf, but it's still good to have here since many people don't know that. The age of Obama's mother, not being 21, is in one of the allegations that was put forth in the lawsuit that Berg filed which would still prove he was not an American citizen under that age stipulation that one of the parents would have to be an American citizen at the time of his birth, residing here for at least 10 years of which five of those years needed to be after the age of 16. She was only 18 when he was born, so that would have disqualified him for automatic American citizenship.

In other words, Philip Berg does not appear to be announcing this new attorney-client relationship which is supposed to advance his case. The only one doing so is API."

Mariah, the link to the API webpost comes from citizen Wells' website who is Berg's assistant. I am pretty sure I also saw another link to API from Berg's own site, obamacrimes, and the 48th comment in that post on API is from Berg and that comment has a link back to his site.

If that website is a hoax it's a very, very elaborate one. I've been looking around there and there is a lot of stuff and an archive that goes back for ages. Seems like a lot of trouble just to claim they have something they don't.

As much as Obama is loved in Kenya I think maybe they should go into hiding. lol

Sue, Judging from the elated tone of your post, and comments, I am becoming convinced that this is more like your fantasy than a real story.
I think it is time to face it; Obama will likely be the next President.

Oh ye, I tried to go back read your old post to understand the background of the story.

It seems that this 911 conspiracy loon is launching a number of contradictory accusations against Obama.

1) Obama is not a Natural Born US Citizen because he was born in Kenya.

2) Obama has abandoned his Natural Born US Citizen status when he accepted Indonesian Citizenship.

Sue, remind me again why the MSM is not reporting on this story?

Also, I read your first post on the issue; your strong suspicion that somehow Clinton was behind this doesn’t make much sense. Clinton would have had the most to gain if she would have raised the issue when she still had the chance to win the nomination.

And, when he first file the case, the “911 Was Conspiracy” lawyer, had said that he was filing the case to clear ways for the RNC’s case that will be filed after the Democratic Convention. Well, nearly two month after the convention, there is still nothing from the RNC. The guy is unreliable – he lives in his own conspiracy filled world.
Just think for a moment; The RNC is desperate for anything to make Obama appear unqualified to be president. And this guy is saying that he got the one information that would disqualify Obama, literally and not taker in the RNC. How is this making any sense to you?

Berg isn't the only one who has a similar lawsuit out there. Some dude named Andy Martin also has one.

http://www.pr-inside.com/barack-obama-birth-certificate-hawaii-lawsuit-r868547.htm

And I think there is one more guy, but he isn't making much news. I've only seen him mentioned once.

If Obama wins the election I think I will be alright with it. Of course I'll be disappointed. And I'll wonder if he stole the election, but the Dems have been saying that Bush stole the election for years. I guess the shoe will be on the other foot now. lol I've always known that things change and power shifts. We had 8 years of Bush (R) and before that 8 years of Clinton (D).

I have continued to look at all of this from every angle as complete as I am able and have no doubt that my own take on it all is not shared with many others ... because so many others see it all from a much more restrictive "box" ...

Most folks look at it from a polarized box based upon political ideology and are well indoctrinated in the dualistic (+/-) theory of right and wrong (right and left for many here)(same thing to them).

That being the result of the "divide and conquer" methods of the actual leaders who reside in anonymity protected by their extreme wealth, those who actually pull the strings of most of our politicians and the editorial policies of all of our MSM ...

It is those very same "folks" who use both political parties for their very own ends, we the citizens be damned (and we are). But as long as they can keep us sniping at each other instead of our coming together with the realization of the real truths, then it is all business as usual ... but ...

But we are fast headed for massive changes in our world, changes "they" are aware of and are orchestrating to their own advantage, changes that "we" are not supposed to know about or bother ourselves with ... changes that if I were to mention them I would be derided as a tin-foil hat wearing liberal conspiracy theorist ... what is more despicable than that ?

It sure makes folks with egos feel good about themselves to badmouth anyone that suggests that conspiracies may be afoot in this world ... they feel like genuine "mature" peers over us naive children who supposedly just don't know any better because our minds are so weak ... and of course theirs are so strong in comparison (right Jonathan G. ?) ...

I will only remind all, that the "real" shakers and movers in this world are NOT the folks who are always held up in public and written about in Forbes as the ones we are supposed to believe are the top dogs ... no ... the real ones go un-named, mostly because that is the way they want it and the only way that it can continually work for them to impact our world in their own favor ...

So go ahead folks, call me an idiot conspiracy theorist in ridicule as you pull the blanket over your head preferring to believe that all is well and your leaders have your best interests at heart ... fact being that those folks are socio- and psych-paths and have no hearts as we know them. We are so much more manipulated than most would ever allow themselves to even question let alone believe ... but it works for "them" ... ignorance may "seem" like bliss ... but only in comparison. The truth is really the only thing that will free us ... and we will never find it as long as we deny it.

To be fair, Padre, Arnold is not able to run for President. He was not born in the USA and is therefore excluded from the Presidency. Obama was born in the USA and deserves to be treated like any other citizen. It is a thinly veiled racism that questions his citizenship. All the facts are in. There is no argument here.

Are there any aspects at all which are OK to question about this man's past or present? Or is it "racism" to even wonder?

Although I am not voting for Obama - I hope this is not the issue we use to gain the white house - I'd rather show the country how unprepared he is to be the president of the greatest nation in the world - not only is he unprepared but his friends, pastor and values are actually scary! Wasn't the Mafia created, conceived or began in Chicago? remember Capone?

Jerry, wouldn’t be the other way around?... the people that have all kids of conspiracy theories floating in their mind think they are much smarter than the rest of us who are just too simple to get it.

Look, any plot designed to execute an illegal or otherwise damaging act can be described as a conspiracy; so sure, I believe there are conspiracies in the world – both small and great.

But it is also true many see conspiracies where there is none. If I take every so called conspiracy that I come across seriously, I will be doomed to live a suspicious and pathetic life.

So, yes, unless I see a compelling evidence to back up the claims, I am inclined to dismiss a lot of so called conspiracies that come around my way.

Like for example – the good Rev Wright, Obama’s old pastor, claimed that the US government willingly infected the African American community with aids.

What am I to make of that? Just don’t even entertain it that is what. The only thing I can take from it is that the ole’ Rev. Wright has some loony tendencies.

And now we got this confused claim that starts with Obama is not qualified to be president and ends at, he should be deported, or is it that he is about to get deported.

Don’t you think that it takes quite a leap of logic to believe that this guy Berg is providing the information that would make McCain the de facto president elect and yet his campaign is ignoring it?

Um, you don't lose your citizenship like that. Didn't you people ever have a Civics course in high school, or were you all too busy learning how the earth was only 5,000 years old?

And Sue, "The Bulletin" is not even a "real" newspaper. I live in South Jersey. The two major papers of Philly are the Philadelphia Inquirer and The Daily News. What you are citing is a two-bit community rag. I've lived in this area all of my life. "The Bulletin" is nothing more than an advanced version of Shopper Weekly.

The curious part of this issue is why won't Obama just provide his original Record of birth? What does he have to hide? If he would do that, this would all go away. "Everyone" has been asking for it since August. Obama could end it all by providing an original, yet he does not. Instead, he has his lawyers pull tricks to silence, stall, and get the case dismissed. There are various little Photoshoppped images of it shown on his website, and various places on the net, which are worthless as far as being the proof needed.

On the other hand, McCain was born to American citizens on an American military base in the Panama Canal Zone, and was challenged in court to prove his citizenship. He immediately complied, and the case was dropped. Obama's failure to comply with a court order for his documentation leads to a reasonable suspicion that he may be hiding something. It has been asserted by a number of sources that Obama was born in Kenya, not Hawaii. If this were true, he would need to be Deported as an Illegal Alien, barring any proof of citizenship. A replacement for him would then be up to the Democratic National Committee, prior to an election. Obviously, it would not be McCain. This requirement exists only for the president and vice president, not governor's.

Likewise, it would explain why Michelle Obama tried trawling the "very single mother" canard.

Obama has been challenged in court in an ongoing case to provide an original birth certificate. The case has been going on since August. He could end it at any time by producing his original birth certificate, yet he does not.

Even more suspicious is the incident when McCain was recognized as a natural born citizen, ( 2d Session S. RES. 511: ) based upon the proof he provided, which made him legally eligible, Senator Obama attempted to insert the following Resolution:"Whereas other presidential candidates born outside of the United States of America and were understood to be eligible to be president."

If successful this would have opened the door for Obama. It seems clear that Obama was attempting to create a blanket Resolution covering a foreign Born Democratic Candidate, who did not have a US Military background or a birth certificate. McCain did not need this resolution. It is guessed that somebody in the race, born outside the USA, was covering and that could only have been Obama. If so, it would then indicate that Obama has been peddling untruths about his birth for at least 16 years.

Others who might be interested in covering this up, if it proves so, would be the Senate Ethics and Rules Committee, and it's Chair, Diane Feinstein. They are responsible for the Certification of a Candidate's Compliance with Constitutional Requirements, a job they would have conspicuously failed to do.

Berg said he would "immediately" file an appeal to the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, if the DNC succeeded in getting his case dismissed. He added that if they don't get a fair ruling there, he would immediately go to the Supreme Court.

“ The curious part of this issue is why won't Obama just provide his original Record of birth? What does he have to hide?”

If this becomes a real issue, I would agree with you. I am a strong believer in transparency in government officials. But I also believe that you should not have to respond to every bogus claim that somebody brings against you.

If Berg has a real case, then the court will take some kind of action. If that was to happen, we have a real issue. Then every person, supporter or not, should demand answer. I am a big supporter of Obama, but if there are real unanswered questions about his qualification, I would demand that he swiftly present documentation and/or clarification.

But Right now all wee have is a bogus case; at the end, Berg will abandon the case and move on to his next conspiracy theory case.

Again, the biggest prove that this is a bogus case is the fact the RNC are not perusing it.

So if you feel frustrated that Obama is not providing enough answers, you should take it up with the McCain campaign; b/c, I promise you, if they were asking the questions, then Obama would have comply.

And the reason they are not asking is because there isn’t a real question worth asking.

In Hawaai, there is a Honolulu lawsuit filed to open Obama’s secret birth records, by Andy Martin, a legendary Chicago Internet Columnist.

He said:

"I want to see a certified copy issued by the State of Hawaii, not one issued by the State of Obama. Why Obama won’t allow direct access to his birth records is beyond me. But the closer we get to discovering the truth about Obama the more we understand why he is terrified of that truth.

‘What is Obama hiding? Frankly, after being in Hawaii and conducting our first round of interviews, we think we have a clearer picture of what Obama is concealing, and why. We have more research and interviews to conduct before we can announce our opinions.

John, I came back here late last night and just skimmed through the names quickly to see what I deemed worthy to read and not. I hadn't realized you had come back since your earlier comment. These tapes are full of Mchelle Obama alluding to those who do not support her husband, both black and white, as racist. How can you expect thses pablem fed to see it differently? You did address your question to someone who is a minority himself. He will tell you he's a homosexual. You'd think that someone who has most likely experienced derision for his life style and probably been called names that are inappropriate to that which he considers himself would reserve his name calling of others.
I consider it every bit as inappropriate and derisive for someone to call me a racist as he would consider it the same if someone were to refer to him with a derogatory word for what he is. Yet, it's perfectly fine for him to call others names. It goes right along with how they view this issue. No matter how many times you can show them that the lawsuit has far deeper implications, including a disregard for the constitution, they refuse to see that, but you put a seasonal manger scene up on their publicly taxed property and they're all over it as unconsitutional. Both of those examples are just self-centered egoism, and an integral part of the character of those people. You can't change it and to ask questions of it will only serve to get you more egotistical and self-centered answers.

As far as the other people I didn't name last night in my comment, there seems to be nothing I need to address individually since none of you has expressed anything that's original, and you've all just echoed the same with different words. I'll just answer you all with this. Whether it's your fine recollection of 5th grade civics or any other ways in which you've been edified with your profound knowledge of law, please understand that I've only reported here what has been alledged in the case by Attoney Berg. Now, if you think that you know more than he does about these laws, by all means, go to his website, www.obamacrimes.com, where he provides his address, email address, phone and fax numbers and tell him of those points of law about which you disagree. He would be the one for you to contact to continue your arguments.

Just discovered I left these points out of my previous post:

There are supposedly at least five more lawsuits being filed in other states this week for Obama to prove his citizenship.

One is dedicated primarily to forcing Obama to release his college records, which he is just as adamant about not releasing as he is his birth certificate. This one suggests the reason Obama won't release his college records is because he may have gotten educational aid and grants while in college, due to his status as being registered as a foreign student.

Robert M. (Mike) Duncan, the RNC Chairman, was quoted as saying, "Everyone knows what a real birth certificate looks like." The RNC is currently involved with filing an FEC complaint accusing Obama's campaign of taking money from foreign nationals.

Sophie, thanks for all your valuable input here. I wasn't aware of the RNC suit. Perhaps that also serves to answer questions of people wondering why the RNC hasn't filed any of its own motions. Apparently, they have and perhaps they don't need to duplicate those motions that have already been addressed.

His campaign contributions have not all been made known, (for someone promising transparency in government, this being his first example of transparency doesn't do much for his credibility) unlike the McCain campaign contributions for which, as MCain has noted, every penny has been accounted.

As for conspiracies ... and their theories ... it is just like everything else ... we must not look at everything as simple black and/or white issues.

There are infinite amounts of grey in between every such extreme and therein lie the truths of the matter ... always !

Our major goal should be to always seek the highest truth where-ever it takes us ... when we do not really know what that truth is we should not off-hand put down and dismiss those who are seeking such truth, especially when we know not the information that they are using and just don't like the idea because it might somehow come up with something different than what we prefer to believe.

Those who are not seeking the highest experience in life of Love and Truth are doing themselves and all others a disservice ... IMnsHO.

”We are working with computer people and Chief Editor Korir over at African Press International as we speak so the audio file can be transfered over to us for distribution,” Berg said. “They say the information on there is far more extensive than just the things they reported, but before I do anything with it I want to review it in full.”

Berf, I don't know what it is exactly that you consider the bad news to be in Jeff's blog, unless you mean that he states that he doesn't believe the tapes exist. As you see, Berg is speaking with Korir, so he would have first hand information, as well as a better feeling as to whether the tapes do exist.

As far as what you consider to be the good news, that's what I'd more likely consider to be questionable in light of the fact that I stated in my article. "Although API has not yet selected a news station to air the tapes, API has three, signed, unilateral agreements from networks that claim to have been given the green light to release the tapes, also telling people that they have the agreement with API to do so."

Fox may or may not be the MSM network chosen to air the tapes, but it appears that they have jumped the gun a bit. Another reason API has chosen Berg to represent it is because they are probably seeking his counsel as to which news media would most honestly present the unedited audios,

It's hard to believe Republicans can stoop this low. It's why I left the Party. He's an American, ue, his mother is an American. My nephews were both born in Indosesia, and they are both Americans because their mother is American. My neice was born in Germany, she also is an American because her Dad is an American. This is all so ridiculous, and a very sad way to try to win an election.

Obama has 12 years of teaching Constitutional Law under his belt. McCain finished fifth from the bottom of his Naval Academy class, but the Party keeps insisting on McCain being our President. Weird!

sophie, I also wanted you to know that on the October 6th Citizen Wells' blog, Jeff Schreiber said that, "Berg is seeking, among other things, an order that Feinstein and the Rules Commission–along with the FEC–immediately conduct an investigation into “the fraudulent tactics of Obama” and into his citizenship status as well.”

Perhaps the fraudulent things are of what you speak, and the RNC is also pressuring the FEC now.

I'd bet my bottomed dollar that both the DNC and RNC are watching this law suit and API dealeo quite closely.

A seemingly small, but potentially large moment has passed . . . according to what I see, Mr. Berg filed what is called a; "request for admissions" on Sept. 15th, and the defendants (Obama et al) had thirty days ("business days" I assume) from that date to respond with denials, or the allegations would be considered "admitted" within the context of the case.

One cannot help but wonder why that date (Sept. 21st.) was allowed to pass without any denials filed by the defense . . . Naturally, if some of the several claims made in the action by Mr. Berg are know to be true, then the omission of those specific claims by the respondents would draw much attention. Me thinks Mr. Berg knows what he's doing . . . and regardless of the veracity of this API matter, the combination of the failure of Mr. Obama to produce a COLB, refusal to allow the release of various records which might shed light on this question (such as school records), and the lack of legal response to the claims made in the Berg vs Obama et al suit, lead me to suspect that the "October surprise" has indeed arrived.

How it will play out is not at all clear, but by now the DNC knows whether or not Mr. Obama is in fact eligible to serve, and if he is not, I suspect the RNC has known all along . . .

You know, John, that's also some of what I've been thinking. Even if this API thing turns out to be a hoax, that's irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. The date for denial has passed. However, my other thought was that they are so above the law, can they also be above the law on that too? Letting that date pass was just an enigma to me. How could they do that?

I think your're right, though. This is the October surprise and it's also unclear as to how it will all play out. I, for one, think it's going to be dramatic.

Sue, more good information there. Thanks.

The fact that the FEC and the DNC refuse to furnish proof of Obama's eligibility is simply startling. It would seem that if they could...they would. It's just inconceivable they would be this embroiled if they could make it go away by providing proof of citizenship.

Reeks of cover-up, and who's involved?...from Feinstein and her committee, the FEC, DNC and on up and down. Obama filed a motion to dismiss? duh! I didn't know defendants could move to dismiss their own case!!!

Very good re-cap, John.

I agree they must know...at least a lot more than we do...and it just gets curiouser and curiouser.

Sue,

There is a logos which I've heard several speak of, which goes something like; "Well, he provided a copy of the birth certificate already, for all the world to see, online . . . SO, what's the big deal?" What such defenders don't seem to realize is; If Mr. Obama released such a copy, any claim that this is a "privacy issue" just flew out the window.

I noticed early on in this affair, that those "copies" were not posted on Mr. Obama's sites, but rather through a sympathetic blog site . . . and though I have not searched carefully, I don't believe that Mr. Obama himself states anywhere that he has posted his BC.

So, those who dismiss this on the grounds that the man has already produced a valid copy, are either wrong about that, or, are right, but wrong about there being any legal grounds for claiming that the man's privacy is an issue in the matter since "he provided a copy the birth certificate already, for all the world to see, online". It's a rather clear case of both having and eating one's cake . . .
