Halloween is right around the corner, which means it’s time to consider costume ideas for you and the kiddos. But people aren’t the only ones who should partake in the fun. Why not dress up your furry, feathered, and scaly friends as well?
Submit your favorite pics of your pets to Gather’s Hairy Halloween Photo Contest. We want you to share your favorite hairy, scary, and funny photos of your pets dressed up for Halloween.
Each photo you share counts as an entry. After Halloween, Gather Editorial will select the member who shares their favorite photo to receive 500 Gather Points™! Gather will then draw 20 participants who share photos to receive 100 Gather Points™ each.Here’s what you need to do for a chance to win:
- Between today and Saturday, October 31st, share a photo or a post with photos of your pet to the group Pets.gather.com.*
- Include the tag halloweenpet
- Each photo published by itself and each post counts as one entry. Enter as many times as you'd like, but you can only win once
*Posts and Photos must be published to Gather between October 12th and October 31st, 2009. If you want to submit a photo already published to Gather, you must re-post it for it be counted as a contest entry.

(I can't have traditional pets unless it's a certain breed of dog - which we are looking into adopting... but the fees are hundreds of dollars.)
The mice (females - all 24 of them) won't let you touch them.
The mouse - the ONLY MALE WILL let you hold him. So he's a possible canidate.
If I can find time to sew him a costume I'll post a photo.
I actually already have some funny ideas for costumes just need to make them. Will be too small to sew so gluing them. (He's a "feeder" albino mouse)
